About the Manage bank feeds service You can now use the new Manage bank feed feature via the Account Information service to automatically download account information directly into your accounting software. At present, only Sage and Xero Accounting Software are supported. See Appendix for country-specific information.

Before you begin To use the Manage bank feeds service, your System Administrator must first entitle you with access to:

• The Account Information service—to either view balances or balances and statements

• Accounts that you are permitted to enquire on.

• You must be registered with one of our partner providers. Your provider might charge you a monthly fee for bank feeds - ask them for more details.

Sage Accounting Software To use this service, complete the following steps:

1. Access the Account Information service in the Accounts tab.

Setting up the Sage bank feed 3. The Set up a bank feed page appears providing instructions and information about this service. Review the

information and then select the Set up a bank feed button at the bottom of the page.

4. You are required to complete the steps on the bank feed setup page as follows:

5. Choose provider: Review the on-screen instructions and then select the Sage option. Choose Continue to proceed to the next step.

6. Account selection: Next, Review all on-screen instructions. Select the accounts for which you want to set up the bank feed. Only entitled accounts available for selection are displayed. If you have more than 200 entitled accounts, only the first 200 accounts will show in the order of account number. You can connect up to 10 accounts in one process. Choose Continue when finished.

7. Review details: Review the accounts selected for bank feed before confirming. Select both checkboxes on the page to agree to the disclaimers in each paragraph. Next, choose Set up bank feed to proceed. (Note: you cannot proceed unless you agree to both disclaimers).

Setting up the Xero bank feed 3. The Set up a bank feed page appears providing instructions and information about this service. Review the

information and then select the Set up a bank feed button at the bottom of the page.

Managing existing connections and disconnecting accounts You can manage existing connections by completing the following steps:

1. From the Account Information service, select the Manage bank feed button.

2. The Manage bank feeds page appears. To connect new accounts, choose the Set up a new bank feed button and complete the steps detailed earlier in this guide. To stop sending bank feeds to your accounting service provider, choose the Disconnect accounts option against the desired provider.

3. If you selected Sage, go straight to point 6. If you selected Xero, you will be directed to their website. Select Continue to proceed.

6. On the Account selection page, select the checkbox against the account(s) you wish to disconnect. Choose Continue to proceed.

Disconnecting accounts

7. On the Review details page, you have the option to edit the accounts. When finished, choose Disconnect accounts to confirm.

8. A confirmation page appears displaying the changes. Note: HSBC will stop sending bank feed data within 2 working days to your selected provider for the selected accounts.

Disconnect accounts - Confirmation

Viewing Activity Log relating bank feeds To view activity log history for Manage bank feeds service, access the Account Services Activity Log in the User and Account Management tab. Enter the period you wish review. Next, select Manage Bank Feeds from the Activity type drop down options. Choose View summary to continue.
