Starting from the Tourism Office towards the source of the Douix, hotspot of European archeology, to return to the origins of Châtillon-sur-Seine, then visit the middle age, on the top of the city : breathtaking view and remarkable monuments. The Saint-Vorles church (Xth century), a treasure of the Roman art, stands alongside the vestiges of the Dukes of Burgundy castle (XIIth-XIth centuries). Guided tour of the Musée du Pays Châtillonnais – Trésor de VixGuided tour of the Vix treasure room in Châtillon-sur-Seine which houses the biggest greek vase of antiquity (VIth century B.C.). Article 1 : The Tourism Office
The Tourism Office of the Pays Châtillonnais has an authorization for trading tourism products in order to ensure the booking and the sale of all types of leisure and reception services in the Pays Châtillonnais. The objective is to facilitate the ap-proach taken by the public, by providing a vast array of services and by offering a quick and safe booking service.The tourism office ensures a service of general interest.
Article 2 : Information
This booklet constitutes the prior offer defined in the decree cited above and engage the Tourism Office. However, modifications may occur in the nature of the services. Pursuant to the decree N°94-490, should any modification be made, they shall be brought to the client’s notice in writing by the Tourism Office, prior to the conclusion of the contract.
Article 3 : Liability
The Tourism Office is liable pursuant to the Article 23 of 23rd of July 1993, which stipulates that:"Any natural or legal person who is involved in the operations mentioned in the article 1 is rightfully liable towards the purchaser for the proper perfor-mance of the obligations arising from the contract, wether these obligations are to be discharged by itself or by other agents providing a service, with-out prejudice to its right to claim against the said agents. However, all or part of this liability may be exonerated by proving that the non-execution of the contract was due either to the purchaser, or to the unpredictable and insurmountable act of a third party not normally involved in the provision of the services stipulated in the contract, or to any circumstances beyond their control. "
Article 4 : Booking -Payment
The booking becomes firm when we receive the deposit equal to 30% of the excursion price. In the case of a stay including an accommodation, the deposit as to be equal to 90% of the total amount of the stay : 30% when booking and an additional deposit of 60% that is due to the Tourism Office no later than 60 days before the date of the afore-mentioned stay. Any option, by phone or in writing, is only recog-nised as a taking of interest for its realisation. This does not result in a booking of the Tourist Office.Failure by the customer to pay the deposit on the agreed date is considered as having cancelled its excursion or stay. Subsequently, the service is put back on sale. Payment of the balance will take place on-site, when arriving at the Tourism Office or when re-ceiving the invoice.
Article 5 : Invoicing
The exact number of people must imperatively be reported to the Tourism Office at least 6 days prior to the excursion. Failing that, and if the number is below the re-ported one, the services will be invoiced on the basis of the number of participants reported on the voucher(s). The Tourism Office will issue a single invoice for the services as a whole.
Article 6 : Cancellation by the customer
Any cancellation must be notified to Tourism Of-fice by registered letter. The cancellation by the customers leads to, be-sides the application fees, a withholding of a certain amount that varies depending on the kind of the stay or excursion and on the date of can-cellation. Unless otherwise specified, any cancellation done : -more than 60 days before departure : the deposit will be refunded with a deduction of 35€ that cor-responds to the application fees- between 60 and 30 days before the departure : 20% of the amount of the stay per person, - between 30 and 21 days before the departure : 25% of the amount of the stay per person,- between 20 and 8 days before the departure : 50% of the amount of the stay per person,- between 7 and 2 days before departure : 90% of the amount of the stay per person,- less than 2 days before departure : 100% of the amount of services,For any booking without the accomodation, the time perios is :- between 15 and 11 days before departure : 25% of the amount of the services - between 10 and 8 days before departure : 50% of the amount of the services- between 7 and 2 days before departure : 75% of the amount of the services- less than 2 days before departure : 90% of the amount of the services - in case the group does not come : 100% of the amount of the services

Article 7 : Voucher
Upon receipt of a written confirmation, along with a deposit, the Tourism Office will send to the cus-tomer one or several voucher, that needs to be given to the service provider(s) upon arrival.
Article 8 : Arrival – Delay
The group has to arrive at the date and time men-tioned on the voucher. In case of late or delayed arrival or a last minute impediment, the customer has to inform directly the service provider whose address and phone number appear on the voucher. There will be no reimbursement relating to the services lost due to late arrival.
Article 9 : A change made by the Tourism Office on a substantial element of the contract :

Article 10 : Cancellation by the seller

Article 11 : Impediment for the seller to provide, during the stay, the services included in the con-tract :

Article 12 : Price setting and free access for groups.
Prices are calculated based on a group of mini-mum 20 people. One free access is systematically applied for 20 chargeable people (21st free, 41st and 42nd free…). The prices quoted in this brochure remain valid un-til 31/12/2018. However the conditions and prices may be subject to changes. Any possible change will be mentioned to the customer in the booking confirmation.
Article 13 : Transportation
Transportation is not included in the selling price. It has to be paid by the customer.
Article 14 : Complaint
Any complaint regarding the non-fulfilment or the improper performance of the contract must be sent to the Tourism Office, by registered letter with an acknowledgement of receipt, at the latest six days after the end of the tour.
