BACKGROUND
❖ The President of India, in his capacity as Visitor of the CentralUniversities, annually confers Visitor’s Awards.
❖ There are currently 47 Central Universities where the President isthe Visitor.
❖ The process of Visitor’s Awards are governed by GazetteNotification No. 253 dated 24 October, 2014 and its subsequentamendments.
❖ Visitor’s awards have been given in 2015, 2016, 2017 and2018. The present edition will be the Fifth Visitor’s Awards.
