About the Band:
Established in 1992, the Saints Alumni Band is made up of graduates from St. Andrew's Secondary
School (SAS) and St. Andrew's Junior College (SAJC). We provide our members with a chance to
extend their band experience, not only to hone their personal skills and to continue their passion for
music, but to nurture existing friendship as well as establish new ones.
With a fairly diverse group of people, ranging from polytechnic and university undergraduates to full-
time national servicemen and working professionals, we hold weekly rehearsals where any former
student from SAS and/or SAJC who shares the musical zeal and enthusiasm is more than welcome
to join us.
Our Mission:
As a band primarily serving our alma mater, we advocate continuity between the two schools, and
between the schools and the alumni. We encourage any passionate individual to join us in our
projects and programmes. The principle of the SA family of schools is "One Family Unbroken" and
the Saints Alumni Band truly exemplifies this creed.
We also aim to provide our members with the opportunity to extend their musical fervour and to
express themselves through music.
In addition, we strive to be a recognised performing group, whereby the Saints Alumni Band is able to
entertain the public at large.

Our Achievements:
The Saints Alumni Band has entertained in countless public performances at venues such as Borders
Bookstore, Fort Canning Green, Botanical Gardens, Centrepoint Shopping Centre, Millenia Walk and
Paragon Shopping Centre. Whether for Christmas or a lazy Sunday afternoon, the Saints Alumni
Band has entertained with light-hearted tunes that the public can sing and dance along to.
The breakthrough for the band is when we first organised our very first concert, entitled “The Saints
Hallelujah”. A bold venture as it was then one of the first alumni bands in Singapore to proceed with
such an adventure. Till date, we have staged seven installations to “The Saints Hallelujah” concert
series, each outdoing its immediate predecessor in terms of music quality, and the personal
achievement of each member.
The band also has the privilege of playing under the baton of published composer, Mr. Benjamin Yeo,
an ex-student himself, who has challenged and pushed the band to attain much higher levels by
exposing the band with a diversified set of repertoire.
Being essentially a family, a sense of ownership is fostered within each member. The sheer increase
in membership through the years is a testament of the musical growth and achievements of the band.
It is an exciting period as the band will be facing challenges ahead of them towards the direction of
growth and achievement.
Our Services:
The Saints Alumni Band is a seasoned public performing group. With a diversified repertoire of music
to choose from, we select music to suit the event we are playing for.
On a larger scale, we organise events such as our annual concerts and also participate in
productions put up by SAS and/or SAJC. We are also available to entertain at productions put up by
external events organisations.
Also, depending on your needs, the Saints Alumni Band is available to play at corporate events. Be it
a product-launch event, an annual Dinner-and-Dance, or a celebration, we are available to entertain
in a large concert band setting or in the ensemble-setting.
