JANEIRO, and its surrounding communities. The tour will lead your group through two of Brazil’s richest and most important
states, from historical and cultural sites in the capital cities to local communities. The tour will also take your group to nearby
beaches and other popular tourist attractions for a full experience of the richness and diversity of the land of samba and sun.
Highlights of the tour:
Sao Paulo: This city is considered the cultural capital of Latin America with
thousands of attractions.
DAY 1: We will have a tour driving in the most famous downtown area, and then
we will visit Ibirapuera Park, Sao Paulo’s equivalent of New York City’s Central
Park.
DAY 2: We will visit famous sites downtown, including the Municipal Market of
Sao Paulo, a vibrant, must-see historical market for tourists and Brazilians alike.
We will then visit the famous Cathedral of Se’, one of the five largest neo-gothic
churches in the world and a popular place of worship in downtown Sao Paulo.
Aparecida (Sao Paulo state): On the way to Rio de Janeiro, our tour will stop at
the second largest Catholic basilica in the world, the National Basilica Shrine of
our Lady Aparecida (second only to St. Peter's in the Vatican City). The National
Basilica, which can hold up to 45,000 people for services, welcomes 10 million
religious visitors and tourists per year, and is considered the heart and soul of
Brazil’s rich Catholic faith for Brazil’s 142 million Catholics.
Rio de Janeiro: Rio is one of the most visited cities in the southern hemisphere,
and with good reason. Breathtaking beaches, incredible natural landscapes,
Carnival celebrations, and a vast supply of samba are only the beginning.
DAY 1: Our tour in Rio begins with a visit to the world-renowned cultural icon,
The Christ Redeemer statue at Corcovado Mountain. From there, we will bring
you to experience a practice session at a Samba School of Rio, where you will
get to see up close and personal the behind-the-scenes beginnings of amazing
Carnival celebrations.
DAY 2: The second day begins with a visit to the Saint Sebastian Cathedral,
downtown Rio. Considered the most important Cathedral in the city, it is easily
seen for its modern pyramid shape. After that we will visit the famous cable car
ride up to Sugarloaf Mountain, where you will experience breathtaking views of
Rio. We’ll then head to the world-famous Copacabana beach and neighboring
markets. We’ll end the day with a beautiful ferry tour to Niteroi, a quaint little
town on the other side of the bay with spectacular views of Rio.
Campos do Jordao (Sao Paulo state): This tour will bring you to the highest
city in Brazil, known as Brazil’s Switzerland for its beautiful European architecture.
The city is nestled in a picturesque mountain range with stunning views and offers
a wide range of shopping, restaurants, music events, historical sites, cultural
attractions, and more. We will visit Horto Florestal State Park, take a cable
car ride up the mountain, explore the famous downtown area called Capivari,
ride a vintage train across the city, and experience the unique local cuisine.
DAY 1 (half day)

-Local sightseeing in Taubate (parks, local
markets, neighborhoods) -Dinner at a local restaurant
DAY 2 – SAO PAULO

-Drive to Sao Paulo early in the morning -Tour at most famous downtown areas; picnic at
Ibirapuera Park -Dinner in Sao Paulo
-Drive to the hotel in Sao Paulo
DAY 3 – SAO PAULO

-Continuing to visit famous sightseeing (Municipal Market )

DAY 4 – RIO DE JANEIRO
