VISIOLITE LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM Identifying filter bag damage and bad seals at the tubesheet is a time
consuming and often in accurate process. The BWF FTI – Visiolite Leak
detection System from BWF FTI make it easy to see problem spots while
the time it takes to complete a visual inspection.
The process utilizes a monochromatic light to locate the presence of an
injected fluorescent powder, which highlights potential problem spots in
luminescent colour.
When the powder is distributed (inject 0,5 kg every 100 m2 of filter
surface) through the baghouse, it follows the path of least resistance to
escape – leaving behind tell- tale accumulations weld cracks, misaligned
metal enclosures and media damages.

Main steps to use Visiolite in the bag filter:
1. switch fan to 30% of its flow capacity
2. stop cleaning system (e.g. air pulse jet cleaning)
3. add Visiolite Powder in the pipe upstream the bag filter, as far as
possible from the bag filter itself to allow the right distribution in the
gas flow
4. dose 2 kg of product per minute
5. wait for 10 minutes with fan on
6. stop fan and check the filter using the monochromatic light
