The Virginia Community College System is developing a four-pronged approach to distance learning.

In 1999-2000, over 28,000 students accounted for 39,000 enrollments, up over 35% from the previous year

Approximately one half of Virginia’s community colleges offer degree or certificate programs online or via videoconferencing
