This meant injuries to workers when using current “pull and lift technique”.
Internal safety committee wanted to find an alternative, more ergonomic system.

Environmental issues due to out of specs on both particles and bio-contamination.Severalobjectsinthecleanroom(tanks,pipesetc.)werenotabletobecleanedeffectivelywithexistingtools, and the customer wished to have one cleaning tool for allsurfaces(floors,walls,ceilings).
Solution
In close cooperation with Q&A it was decided to change from the bucket method to the pre-prepared method, using microfibre disposable mops.
Validation detected that operators were using mops longer thanagreed/expectedandtheriskofcross-contaminationwasincreasing. The pre-prepared method limited the mop use per cleanroom(or20m²/200ft²)achievingtherequireddisinfectioncontact time. By simply changing mop heads, the facility could use one system for all surfaces, plus reach easily under very narrowequipmentduetotheslimflatmopframes.
