invite to participation in the
VII th International Conference INTERPOR
that will be held from October 20 though 22 2008in Bydgoszcz, Poland
The INTERPOR Conference will serve as an international forum to exchange information on the new achievements in theoretical, numerical and experimental investigations of coupled phenomena (mechanical, thermal, electrical and chemical) in the multiphase natural and engineered porous materials. It will cover the following topics: transport phenomena and deformations, wave propagation and dynamics, description of pore structure and phase interaction, upscaling methods, experimental techniques. The contributions dealing with identification of pore structure and physical properties of porous materials will be presented as well.
The WorkshopCapillary Transport in Unsaturated Porous Materials is devoted to presentation of the state of art in the modelling and experimental research of capillary transport in unsaturated porous materials occurring in the fields where the capillary phenomena play very important role. It concerns mercury and standard porosimetry, groundwater flow, multiphase flow and transport in porous materials, hydro-engineering and engineering of porous materials, drying and wave propagation in unsaturated materials. The achievements will be presented by experts and the meeting will serve profesional discussion and establishing cooperation.
The total cost of the participation in the INTERPOR Conference is 250per person. It covers the registration, accommodation and meals. The fee should be remitted to the bank account:

Authors interested in participation in the INTERPOR Conference are invited to submit one page English abstract (max. 1800 signs) before August 1st 2008. The abstract should be prepared in the format of Word 2000 or later and contain full names, affiliations and email addresses of the authors and the title of communication. The electronic submission is sugested. It is available on the Conference webside www.interpor.ukw.edu.pl. Authors of papers will give their presentation in two stages. First, they will present a brief summary (5 minutes) in conventional lecture-room format, and next, will present their work concurtently in more detail during the poster sesion. Posters should be prepared directly on one A 0 sheets.
