Pre-EntryAll students are to register through their instructor and the instructor must submit the attached entry form to the organisers by the due date of 4 September 2017. Instructors to make one deposit for their dojo entry fees into the bank account listed in the dojo entry sheet attached. No entries will be allowed on the day and no individual competitors may pay directly into the account.

Entry Fees:R 150 per participant for one division/ R250 per participant for two divisions - to be paid to your instructor on registration. Your instructor will pay over all dojo entry fees as a lump sum.

Spectators Fee:R 20 per adult and children over the age of twelve, to be paid on the day of the tournament.

ALL ENTRIES TO BE IN BY 4 SEPTEMBER 2017.

Rules & RegulationsKATA: - WKF rules with amendments will apply for all divisions, 5 Judges per floor where possible

White to green belt – only one kata required and may be repeated Blue to black belt – minimum of two kata required. First kata to be

performed in round 1 and second kata in round 2. After round 2, contestants may repeat any kata, or perform a new one.

KUMITE: - WKF rules with amendments will apply for all divisions Mitts and Gum Guards are compulsory. Body protectors are strongly

recommended, but are not compulsory. Chest protectors are strongly recommended for female athletes

Any other WKF-type protective gear may also be used.

The organisers reserve the right to combine certain divisions should there be fewer than four entries in a division. The safety of the competitors will be kept in mind when doing so.

No coaching will be allowed at this event and spectators may not enter the competition area.

Contestants participate at their own risk. Categories to be determined by year of birth and age on the day of the tournament.

Start times for the different age groups are merely a guide and competitors are encouraged to be there at least 45 before their start time, in the eventuality that the tournament is running ahead of time.

All entered dojos are please to provide a minimum of two referees and table officials for the event. Referees must be dressed as per WKF rules. Referees that have official SASCOC-approved Protea colours may referee in their green blazers and Protea ties, with khaki chinos.
