At Northwestern College you get to meet people, go places and try things you
just can’t do at big schools. That’s because we offer more of what matters to you. Like
opportunities to lead. Serve. And expand your understanding of the world. On campus,
across the country, around the world. Is Northwestern all that
different? Ask around. Take a look. Come see for yourself.big

What makes Northwestern a Christian college? More than just attending chapel. Everything is viewed through the lens of Christian faith.
Academics. Service. Faith. Community. All combined in powerful ways to equip you for the real world while bringing God’s plan into sharper focus. That’s Northwestern. We think it’s what college should be. It’s why our graduates are in demand. And why they’re known for characteristics like honesty, integrity and hard work. What do you want out of college?
My professors at Northwestern
knew me well enough to write detailed, personalized letters of reference. They’re skilled scientists, yet so personable and willing to help.

Northwestern. Whether in the classroom, through the arts or on the
playing field, you won’t receive a watered-down version of anything.
But as part of our community, you’ll also receive the support you need
to make sense of it all as you grow in understanding of broader issues.
We’ll be there alongside as you learn and succeed. and

Northwestern professors are committed Christians devoted to high-quality teaching, scholarship, mentoring and service.
Christian leaders and student stories Loud bands and quiet prayer Boisterous praise and solemn reflection Biblical plays and traditional liturgy Arms raised and hands clasped Favorite hymns and global rhythms It’s worshipping God with friends.
Career isn’t different from calling at Northwestern. The mission field is a calling. So is business, medicine or politics. God has a place for you, and it lies at the intersection of what you’re good at and what the world needs. That place is your calling. Helping you find it is ours.
Discovering God’s will is a big part of being
here. It’s personalizing your faith, but there’s also the next step that says, ‘OK, I’ve made my faith my own. Now, how am I going to live that out?’Dr. Derek BrowerEducation Professor
Campus ministry is discipleship groups in the dorms. Leadership training. Prayer and Bible study. Short-term mission trips. Service opportunities. Youth groups. Fellowship. Retreats. And a whole lot more.

Faith—or knowledge? Some schools see them as incompatible. But you shouldn’t have to choose. Because the way we see it, faith and knowledge are inseparable. You’ll be challenged here, academically and spiritually. Not in ways that tear down your faith, but in ways that build it up. And as you process new knowledge, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation of what you believe—and why.

Medieval Week’s epic battle

perfect combination of creativity,
cardboard and duct tape (and a
fair share of testosterone). And
traditions like Clash of the Classes
keep drawing crowds too.
All work and no play? We didn’t think so—it’s not our idea of
college either. Some of the best stuff doesn’t even show up on the
calendar. Like residence hall life. Students say that’s one of the
great things about Northwestern. And since most everybody stays
around on weekends, there is always plenty to do.

You just have to experience Northwestern’s community. Think
of living with your best friends all the time. One night you’re making a 3 a.m. Perkins

At Northwestern, sports train for life. We encourage balance between athletics, campus life and academics. It’s one of the best things about NWC. Coaches nurture each player on and off the field. Winning matters, of course, and the Northwestern Red Raiders have their share of trophies. But even more important are the character-building lessons that last long after the season is over.
The college and the athletic programs do a really good job of staying in touch with professors to ensure
that student-athletes are students first.Dr. Jim Mead, Religion Professor
New programs like Northwestern’s sport management and strength & conditioning options are helping students prepare for careers in the growing sports and fitness industries.
