Workshop PurposeThe purpose of this workshop is to share and showcase experiences and activities to support gender equality in the water sector. Delegates will hear from leading women and men from the Australian
and Vietnamese water sectors on activities and approaches that strengthen engagement between the Australian, Vietnamese and international water sectors on gender equality in the water sector.
This is the third Women of Water Workshop, building from workshops at Vietwater’17 and Ozwater’18 and the Association’s Channeling Change Program.
The outcomes from the workshop will be:
• Australia-Vietnam Women of Water Network
• Enhance Vietnamese women’s voices in decision-making and leadership through knowledge development, mentoring, and targeted discussions on leadership skills and opportunities for career advancement
• Promote women’s economic empowerment and gender equality in Vietnam’s water sector
• Facilitate mentoring, support networks and skills development for female entrepreneurs and their increased engagement in business in the Vietnamese water sector
