1 Introduction This user guide is meant for Job Seekers whom will be using WSG Careers Connect Video Career Coaching (VCC) portal.

The URL for the VCC portal is https://vcc.mycareersfuture.gov.sg

VCC is to be done online, virtually. You are not required to visit any of the career centre for VCC appointments made.

Things required:

1. Camera (attached to your computer) 2. Microphone (attached to your computer) 3. Speaker/Headphone (please ensure that the volume is turned on) 4. A stable internet connection 5. For operating system and web browsers supported for the live chat

function, please look at the list below:

2 Navigating the portal

As the top right, you will see a ‘User Guide’ link which allows you to download and view this guide.

You will see a calendar-like table below with dates (at the top) and time (on the left and right). This is where you will find available slots for you to book an appointment.

At the footer (black bar), there is a Contact Us link which you can drop us an Enquiry, Feedback or any Technical Issue encountered.

3 Booking an Appointment You do not need to make an appointment if you are already receiving career matching services from WSG Careers Connect or WSG’s appointed Career Matching Partners. You can contact your Career Coach directly to arrange for a coaching session.

3.1 Calendar

To browse through the dates, click on the left / right arrow above the timing columns to move to the previous / next dates.

• Available Slots: If slot is available, it has a selectable circle in the middle. • Unavailable Slots: If slot is unavailable, it will be greyed out. • Selected Slot: Your selected slot will be in green with a tick.

To book the selected slot, click on ‘Book Slot’ button at the bottom.

3.2 Booking Form

After you clicked on ‘Book Slot’ button, the booking form will pop-up.

1. Please verify that the selected slot date & time is correct. 2. Select the Chat Type. You may select multiple topics. 3. Select your preferred speaking language for the session to be held in.

4. Select your ID Type 5. Fill in the last 3 digit and last alphabet of your NRIC e.g. 123A 6. Fill in your first name (given name) and you last name (surname). 7. Fill in your email address. You will receive emails from WSG Careers

Connect regarding the appointment.

8. Fill in your phone number. Please make sure you are contactable.

9. Fill in remarks for the coach to take note of (optional) 10. Tick the box to confirm that the details provided is true and accurate. 11. Lastly, click on ’Confirm Booking’ button to book your appointment.

3.3 Booking Confirmation Email & SMS

Upon appointment successfully booked, you should receive an email (from WSG Careers Connect) and a SMS (from WSG VCC).

In the email confirmation, there is a very long URL which is the VCC link.

You will need to click on this VCC link at your appointment date/time to connect with the Coach for the VCC session.

3.4 Rescheduling of Appointment

In the booking confirmation email, you will also find a link to reschedule your appointment (almost towards the bottom) in case you cannot make it to the current one.

1. To reschedule an existing appointment, click on the reschedule link. This link will lead you to the calendar page (Section 3.1)

2. Select your preferred date and timing 3. Click on ‘Book Slot’ button 4. Fill in the booking form. Please make sure your first name, last name and

NRIC are the same as your existing appointment 5. Click on ‘Confirm Booking’ button 6. There will be an pop-up alert to notify you that your existing appointment

will be cancelled automatically. Click OK to proceed.

7. You will receive 2 emails and 2 SMSes

a. Cancellation email for existing appointment b. Booking confirmation email for new appointment c. Cancellation SMS for existing appointment d. Booking confirmation SMS for new appointment

4 Video Career Coaching (VCC) 5 minutes before the date/time of your appointment, click on the VCC link in your booking confirmation email. This will open the page to connect you with your appointed Career Coach.

4.1 VCC Page

On the left of the page, there are 2 boxes:

- The bigger box is where the video of the Career Coach will be - The smaller box is where your video will be

Click on ‘Start video’ button to turn on your camera and microphone.

You might need to ‘Allow’ the web browser to use the camera and microphone.

You can click on ‘Stop video’ button to turn off your camera and microphone at any point in time.

On the right of the page, this is where the text chat is located.

Topmost will be the chat history.

At the bottom, you will find a text field for you to enter your messages and a green ‘send’ button to send that out.

Finally, please click on ‘Exit Chatroom’ button to quit the session.

4.2 Rating Form

Once you exited the chatroom, you will be redirected to complete a survey rating for the VCC session. Do provide us with your valuable feedback.
