About the Author I am Vicky Robles Arias currently attending the undergraduate program for architecture at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and on my 4th year studying for one year at the Washington-Alexandria Center [WAAC].
When I’m not in studio or working on a design project, I’m outdoors enjoying the sun, water, or snow with friends and family.
I aspire to design and help make spaces that further the happiness, and comfort of people who need it the most.
San Luis Obispo High school will be an experimental grounds for what education in the 21st century could be.

Project
Shutterpillar
Based on metamorphosis. The idea of a butterfly emerging out of an egg, and into a caterpillar then butterfly, corresponds to use of materials. We reused cardboard from Costco, which meant our material was in its “caterpillar” or second stage. After the competition the materials went into its “butterfly” stage and were used in other studio projects.
