The Regular Meeting of the Board of Education was held m the Board Room of the Administration Building, 31300 Anita Drive, Warren, Michigan I. CALL TO ORDER BY PRESIDENT TROMBLEY The meeting was called to order by President Trombley at 7:38 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Ms. Jozwik followed by the reading of the District's Mission Statement. Members Present: Berdy, Jozwik, Papasian-Broadwell, Trombley, Weckerle, White Members Absent: Kattula Others Present: Livernois, Anderson, Bernia, Elenbaas, Lewis, Papak, and District Legal Counsel Donald DeNault from O' Reilly Rancilio P.C. II. ACCEPTANCE OF AGENDA A motion was made by Ms. Papasian-Broadwell, supported by Mr. White that the Board of Education accept the agenda of the Regular Board of Education Meeting of Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Yes: All No: None Motion Carried: 6-0 Ill. STUDENT, STAFF AND ALUMNI AWARDS AND RECOGNlTIONS A. BOARD OF EDUCATION RECOGNITION STATEMENT - CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION MONTH Warren Consolidated Schools recognized February 2020 as Career and Technical Education Month. B. C. BOARD OF EDUCATION RECOGNITION STATEMENT - BLACK HISTORY MONTH Warren Consolidated Schools recognized February 2020 as Black History Month BOARD OF EDUCATION RECOGNITION STATEMENT - NATIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELING WEEK Warren Consolidated Schools recognized February 3-7, 2020 as National School Counseling Week. The Career Preparation Center will be hosting its Program Showcase on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Warren Consolidated Schools will be having their Kindergarten and Early Childhood Education informational meeting at the Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, February 11 , 2020 at 6:00 p.m. Susick Elementary School recently held a penny drive which raised $1,463 .00. The funds were donated to the Sterling Heights Police Department K-9 program. IV. PRESENTATIONS A. CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION MONTH Mr. John Bernia, Chief Academic Officer, along with Ms. Carlie McClenathan, Director of Career and Technical Education, presented an overview of Warren Consolidated Schools' Career and Technical Education programs and courses as listed in Addendum No. 2.

I. CALL TO ORDER BY PRESIDENT TROMBLEY

Warren Consolidated Schools recognized February 3-7, 2020 as National School Counseling Week.

A motion was made by Mr. Weckerle, supported by Mr. White, that the Board of Education accept the recommendation of the Superintendent and approve the items on the Consent Agenda.

A. A WARD OF CONTRACT - BID PACKAGE 13 - INTERIOR RENOVATIONS

A motion was made by Ms. Jozwik, supported by Ms. Berdy, that the Board of Education accept the recommendation of the Superintendent and hereby award a contract to Clark Construction Company (acting as Construction Manager) for interior renovations as listed in Addendum No. 14.

Yes: All No: None Motion Carried: 6-0

8. AW ARD OF CONTRACT - BID PACKAGE 14 - SITE WORK

A motion was made by Ms. Jozwik, supported by Mr. Weckerle, that the Board of Education accept the recommendation of the Superintendent and hereby award a contract to Clark Construction Company (acting as Construction Manager) for site work as listed in Addendum No. 15.

C. AW ARD OF CONTRACT - ASBESTOS ABATEMENT

A motion was made by Ms. Berdy, supported by Mr. Weckerle, that the Board of Education accept the recommendation of the Superintendent and hereby award a contract to Qualified Abatement Services, Inc. for asbestos abatement work as listed in Addendum No. 16.

Yes: All No: None Motion Carried: 6-0

D. APPROVAL OF PURCHASE - SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT

A motion was made by Mr. Weckerle, supported by Ms. Jozwik, that the Board of Education approve the Purchase of five (5) Grandstand Multiforce Power Broom systems from Hellebuyck's Power Equipment Center with consortium pricing through the Sourcewell program as listed in Addendum No. 17.

Yes: All No: None Motion Carried: 6-0

E. ACCEPTANCE OF THE MEDIATOR'S REPORT WITH WARREN EDUCATION ASSOCIATION

A motion was made by Ms. Jozwik, supported by Ms. Berdy, that the Board of Education accepts the recommendation of the Superintendent and accept the Mediator's recommendation with the Warren Education Association as listed in Addendum No. 18.

Yes: 5 (Berdy, Jozwik, Papasian-Broadwell, Trombley, White) No: None Recuse: Weckerle (conflict of interest) Motion Carried: 5-0
