LED

The TYRI Xenon HID lights have a long history in the demanding Nordic market. Used by manufacturers and operators of heavy duty machinery used in mining, construction and forestry, the TYRI Xenon lights have proven themselves, over and over again. The compact design, made for heavy duty applications has made the TYRI Xenon lights the natural choice. The 1111 Xenon and the 1313 SD Xenon are both designed to handle the additional heat generated by the 45W ballasts.

The TYRI halogen lights have a rounded modern design, and have for many years been popular with major manufacturers all around the world. You find TYRI halogen lights on John Deere, Komatsu, Atlas Copco, Caterpillar, Gremo, Huddig, Konecranes, Ljungby Maskin, HIAB, Hyster, Yale, Nissan, Toyota and many other well known brands. The lights are designed for heavy duty and have built-in vibration dampening, a protective bezel and are sealed for water ingress.

Lens Options

Coloured glass lenses are available for most Halogen and HID series lighting:

• Blue lenses can be used with halogen lights to match HID colour temperature.

• Amber lenses can be used for directional or hazard light applications.

• Red glass lenses are commonly used for stop lights.

• Fog lights offer improved detail and contrast in hazy or dusty atmospheres.

• Lower wattage bulbs are recommended for amber and red lenses.

Technical Data What is Colour Temperature?

Colour temperature is a characteristic of visible light. Like

temperature, it is measured in Kelvin (°K). The human eye

functions more effectively when viewing objects illuminated

by a light source with a colour temperature close to that

of natural daylight. A work light with a higher colour

temperature will help prevent machine operator fatigue,

meaning a safer and more productive work environment.

Asymmetric

Light beam is dispersed forward and

down from the bulb filament centre line.

Symmetric

Light beam is dispersed evenly on both

sides of the bulb filament centre line.

What are Lumens?

The total "effective" output of a work light is known as

Luminous Flux, and is expressed in Lumens. The more

powerful a work light, the more lumens it will produce.

Which light to choose? When to use LED

LED is the right technology for almost everyone.

No matter how you use your machine there are

many advantages:

Robust design

The robust design of the TYRI LED lights give you

an almost eternal life. Polycarbonate lenses do not

get hot and crack when you clean the machine, nor

do they break when hit by stones or branches.

Efficient vibration dampeners protect the

electronics. The efficient aluminium body provides

good thermal management and maximizes the LED

life.

Burn life

A LED is designed to last as long as your machine,

or longer. This eliminates the need to change light

bulbs and reduces your down time.

Colour temperature

LED lights have a colour temperature close to

daylight.

You work better and get less tired. We use

LEDs with 5500 – 6500°K, but other colours are

available at request.

Amp draw

A LED light has less than half the Amp draw of a

halogen light. This allows you to install more lights

without the need for a larger alternator.

When to use Halogen

Halogen is the right choice when you do not use

work lights very often. In all other cases the cost for

constant changes of light bulbs will make the halogen

uneconomical due to high maintenance costs.

If halogen is your choice, take a look at the TYRI

halogens with blue lenses. This is the closest you

can get to LED or Xenon at low cost.

When to use Xenon

Xenon lights have, for many years, been the

natural choice for machine operators wanting to

improve the vehicle lighting.

Colour temperature

The Xenon colour temperature, 4200°K, is closer

to daylight and much more comfortable to work in

than the warmer light from the halogen lamp.

Burn life

Depending on how often the Xenon lamp is

switched on and off you can get a burn life of as

much as 5000 hours, reducing your maintenance

cost.

Amp draw

Compared to the light performance the Xenon

lights use only half as much power as a comparable

halogen lamp.
