Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat has introduced Five Years Integrated B. Com.

LL.B. (Hons) Programme in the university campus from the academic year 2013-14. Department of

LAW, V.N.S.G.U., Surat is functioning in its own Advocate J.H. Vasoya Bhavan. At present, Department of

LAW offers B.Com LL.B. (Hons.) Five Years Integrated Programme. This programme is running on Self

Finance basis. Department has adequate Human Resources appointed on permanent basis. Department

has Fully Equipped Classrooms with LCD Projector & other ICT Devices. In Addition, Department has

rich Library Setup with various books, Journals & Online resources.

The Legal Education Committee of The Bar Council of India(BCI) has given approval to impart

Five Years Integrated B.Com. LLB (Hons.) course with an intake of two sections of 60 students in each

section vide Letter No.: BCI/D/390/2013 (LE) dated 07-08-2013. The Government of Gujarat has issued

NOC to the university for this programme vide letter No.:DGJ/2013/1601/lch dated 13-05-2013. At

present, both Courses are being conducted under the guidance of the Dean, Faculty of Law &

ExecutiveCommittee.

The Students will have to take part in Legal Aid Clinic / Centre and 20 weeks Internship and

will have to follow in prevailing syllabus suggested by Bar Council of India(BCI), University Grant

Commission (UGC) and Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU).

years to be pursued after any Graduation. Therefore, if any student opts this B.Com LL.B.(Hons.)

Integrated programme, One precious year can be saved.

• Upon successful passing out all Semesters, students would receive Dual Degree i.e. B.Com. And

LL. B.

• Students learn legal skills and expertise through Moot court exercise and other clinical courses.

• Students participate in Legal Aid Clinic and undergo 20 weeks internship training.

10+2 Pass (any Stream) with minimum marks:

• 45 % for General Category

• 42 % for OBC/SEBC Category

• 40 % for SC /ST Category

• Total Semesters: 10 (Per Semester Fees Rs. 25,000/-)
