Define value from the customer's perspective.

Gain a thorough understanding of the flow of

information and resources through Value Stream

Mapping (VSM), which enables the identification

and eventual elimination of waste.

Position processes in a way that promotes improved

flow towards the customer.

Enable customers, both internal and external, to pull

from the preceding processes, rather that having

outputs pushed on them. In other words, make only

what is required; nothing less, nothing more.

Repeat this process continuously until all possible

waste is removed in the pursuit of perfection.
