VarietiesNineteen variety trials were conducted across

Kentucky. Hybrid 403 produced the highest yields in 5 trials and came in 2nd in 3. It, however, came in last in two trials most likely due to disease pressure. KT200 was 1st in 5 trials and 2nd in 3 trials, also. HB04P was 1st in 3 trials and 2nd in 1. R7-12 was 1st in 2 trials and 2nd in 3, but last in 1. R7-12 had the highest average yield at 2726 lb/a for the 3 grade tobacco trials with Hybrid 403 a close 2nd at 2720. NC 3 produced the highest average for 4 grade tobacco trials at 3046 lb/a although it was 1st in 1 trial and tied for 1st with KY 14 x L8 in another. KY 14 x L8 was last in 6 of the 19 trials.
