If you turn the Vantage off with this butt on, you must use it t o turn the device backon.RECORDING MICROPHONE This is the small round hole near the topright of the case. When you record messages, s peak toward this area.BATTERYCHARGING When you plug in the charger, the "Charging" light flashes. A rapid flash indicates fast-charging; a sl ow flash indicates that the battery is charged but it will continue to trickle-charge as l ong as the charger is plugged in. BATTERY LOWWhen this light flashes, the batteries need to be charged. Plug in the charger. HEADPOINTING If you are using a head pointer, this area tracks its movementsTOOLBOXTakes you to the Toolbox where you can use the system menus. CHOOSE ACTIVITY * Press this t o toggle through yourActivity Row.SETUP * This key all ows you toprogram overlay keys without going to the Toolbox. It works with the MODIFY PAGE, MODIFY ACTIVITY, ASSIGN CORE KEYS and STORE menus and the Modify Item within an Activity or Page menu.* Keys 1 and 2are User Defi ned keys. You can re- program them todo whatever you wish.RIGHT SIDE PANEL Serial Port- Use this for com puter emulation using a null modem serial cable. Switch Connectors- Plug single or dual switches intothese two connectors. USB Cable Connector- Use this for com puteremulation with a USB cable. Standard USB Connector- Plug the USB flash drive in here. LEFT SIDE PANEL Battery Door: The door catch is on the bottom of the case. Toopen the battery door, place the Vantage face down on a flat surface. Insert a small flathead screwdriver under the sl ot between the door and the catch andpress down on the catch.
