Information Sheet for Delegates

Congratulations! You have been selected to take part in the 20th National Session of

EYP Finland. The session will take place in Vantaa on 10–13 January 2014. It gathers

some 180 participants from over 15 European countries under the theme ”Youth for

Innovation – Reinventing Europe”. The National Session is under the high patronage of

Mr Olli Rehn, Vice President of the European Commission, and Mrs Tuula Teeri, Presi-

dent of Aalto University. It will be presided by James Benge from the United Kingdom.

At the National Session, we will select the Finnish representatives to the two Inter-

national Sessions of the EYP in 2014. The International Sessions will be held in Riga,

Latvia, in spring 2014, and Kyiv, Ukraine, in fall 2014. Additionally, delegations to

several other EYP events abroad will be selected.

The National Session is an excellent opportunity to continue your EYP ”career” that

started at the Regional Sessions. In addition to the Finnish delegates, you get to work

with delegates from Germany, Estonia and Luxemburg, for instance. After the Na-

tional Session, you may get the chance to attend a 10-day International Session with

300 participants or other quality event abroad – but attending the National Session is

already an excellent experience.

We kindly ask the delegations’ contact persons to follow the instructions provided on

the next page, so that the road from the Regionals to the National Session would be

as smooth as possible. Should you have any questions regarding the session, don’t

Welcome to theNational Session!

Vantaa 2014 is under the high

patronage of Mr Olli Rehn, Vice

President of the European Com-

mission.

1. Confirming your participation

The contact person is asked to confirm the delegates that wish to attend the session

by sending an email to vantaa2014@eypfinland.org. We kindly ask you to do so as soon

as possible. The following deadlines, however, apply:

Delegates selected in Kuopio: 15.11.

Delegates selected in Turku: 22.11.

Delegates selected in Tampere: 29.11.

Delegates selected in Oulu: 13.12.

After confirmation, attendance can only be cancelled for dire reasons. After 13.12.,

cancellations are only possibly with a doctor’s note. After 13.12., we unfortunately have

to charge the delegate even if he/she does not take part in the session.

2. Registration

Delegates are asked to register to the event at http://alumni.eypej.org/eventreg/van-

taa-2014-20th-national-session-of-eyp-finland. All delegates have signed up on the

platform when registering for the Regional Sessions. The code needed for registration

is 1138. Registration can be done immediately but the latest on 13.12.

3. Paying the participation fees

The participation fee for Vantaa 2014 is 50 EUR, and it covers programme, accom-

modation and food. EYP Finland will charge all delegates or delegations on 1 January

2014. For accounting purposes, we cannot unfortunately provide you with the invoices

earlier. We kindly ask the contact persons to confirm the billing details to EYP Finland

by 13.12.
