C) Qualifications & Experience of Teaching staff for UG teachers :(Applicable for direct recruitment but age will be relaxed in case of promotion).

i) ESSENTIAL:a) A degree in Ayurved from a University established by law or a statutory Board/Faculty/Examining

Body of Indian Medicine or its equivalent as recognized under Indian Medicine Central CouncilAct,1970.

b) A Post-graduate qualification in the subject/specialty concerned included in the scheduleto Indian Medicine Central Council Act,1970.

ii ) EXPERIENCE : (UG) (The Gazette of India dated 26/04/2012).

a) For the post of Professor :Total teaching experience of ten years in concerned subject is necessary out of which thereshould be five years teaching experience as Reader/Associate Professor in concerned subject.

b) For the post of Associate Professor (Reader) :Teaching experience of five years in concerned subject.(Reader will be treated as AssociateProfessor).

c) For the post of As st. Professor (Lecturer) :( age not exceeding 40 years).No teaching experience is required. Lecturer will be treated as Asst. Professor.

d) Qualifi cation for the post of Head of the Institut ion (Principal/Dean/Director) :The qualification and experience prescribed for the post of Professor shall be essential for theseposts.

ii i) EXPERIENCE : (PG) (Academic Counci l Resolution No. 126/2011 dated 08/04/2011).

a) For the post of Professor :Thirteen years teaching experience including five years as Reader in Postgraduate teaching inthe concerned subject shall be required.

b) For the post of Associate Professor (Reader) :

Eight years teaching experience as Lecturer including three years in Postgraduate teachingOR

Total ten years experience of undergraduate teaching in the concerned subject shall be required.c) For the post of Asst. Professor (Lecturer) :

Three years professional experience after post graduation as Clinical Registrar or SeniorResident

ORThree years research experience in a recognized institution

ORThree years teaching experience in the concerned subject in a recognized college shall berequired.

Note :- In absence of the candidate of Post-gradute qualification in concern subject the candidate of thefollowing subjects as mentioned against them shall be eligible for the post of Lecturer/Asst.Professor :-

b. The teacher(s) who had been considered eligible in the past on the basis of previousRegulations shall not be considered ineligible on the basis of amendment.

c. For the post of Lecturer inSanskrit

: M.A. in Sanskrit or Acharya form a recognizedInstitutions or equivalent with due experience.Preference should be given to those possessingAyurved qualification also.

D) GENERAL NOTES :1) Reservation for Ladies and physically handicapped persons is as per the Govt. rules.

2) Candidates applying for reserve category post(s) should submit caste certificate & caste validitycertificate and also recent non-creamy layer certificate, wherever applicable.

3) The benefits of reservation shall be admissible to the backward class / category candidates whoare domiciled in the state of Maharashtra only.

4) Age Limit & Educational Qualifications shall be considered up-to last date of the application &experience shall be considered up-to earlier day of the interview.

5) The decision taken by MUHS authorities regarding essential qualifications and experience shallbe applicable, from time to time.

6) Qualified teachers above the age of 62 years will be considered for appointment of one oneyear, as per respective councils norms.

7) Pay Scale is as per rules.
