Explanation of the video

Structure
The video is orchestrated around a SEE-JUDGE scheme. A final question has been added to motivate the viewer's reflection.
This chapter has been split in two videos. This first one is dedicated to the concepts of truth and justice.
It begins with a common introduction in which it is remembered that ethical values are fundamental for the society to develop properly. The Social Doctrine considers four values as fundamental to both life and political action: truth, justice, freedom and political charity.

After the introduction, the video asks the question: "What is the truth?". In our society, is generally thought that there no exists an ultimate truth. Every idea is equally considered and is valid by itself. Hence, it is necessary to start with that question.

For the Social Doctrine, the fundamental truth about the human being is that we are called to live as children of God and brothers of our neighbors. Thus, humanity is represented with several spheres of different colors, connected to a cloud (God) and also to the rest of the spheres (the brothers).
When one of the spheres is expelled out, the voiceover tells about the idea
that we are all responsible for all. We should not stay indifferent on what happens to the others. That is why an arm appears and picks up the one who has been expelled. A society is more human when we put our lives at the service of others, particularly when we serve the impoverished pople.

Social life and political action only help us to grow in humanity when they are
based on this truth. Such an idea is represented by a bunch of hearts growing from a tree. That tree represents the desire to take care of others, the vocation to service.
Only the defense and promotion of justice can give to the political life an
orientation through the service of human’s dignity. That's why a compass appears in

the background, trying to locate that orientation. Once it reaches it, a human face appears.
Using again the colored spheres scene, an injustice is represented. The
existence of displaced people is a denial of the truth, hence the broken word is shown.

The existence of impoverished people is an unmistakable sign of the lack of
truth of a society. That is why in the image appear the two spheres displaced from the rest whilst connecting them to the broken word.

We should try to develop ties of solidarity to connect people to each other, which is represented by lines emerging from the not-expelled spheres. They manage to make an effort and they reintroduce into social life those who were left out of it.
The political action only seeks the Truth when it pursues the justice. This
justice should not be understood through the pure legalism.

The JUDGE begins on minute 02:00, and it starts talking about our own
society.
Starting this section, a coin breaks the ordered social life, representing the disproportionate weight of economic and financial life in our society.
The truth is usually replaced by the interest, the convenience or self-taste in
our individualistic and hedonistic society.

When the economy lacks a human face, worries about other people disappear.
Thus, they become numbers or assumable damages. The video ends with a bunch of rays reaching the head of a person. At the same time, an economic chart ascends without stopping.
