WHO AM I?In spite of these mountains, you can be equipped with the skills
necessary for life’s journey. You can plan for what’s ahead as you learn
more about who God made you to be and what He has gifted you to do.
You can have a solid understanding of the Christian worldview and how
to study the Bible. And you don’t have to walk this
journey alone.
THE JOURNEYLife is a journey, full of highs and lows, mountains and valleys. The mountain is int im idat ing, the climb is
daunt ing. Take the fi rst step and join the Ascent program. Grace Adventures wants to equip you w ith the
skills necessary for life’s journey so that you can reach new heights.
THE MOUNTAINAs a high school graduate you may feel confused,
afraid, or pressured when it comes to “what’s
next”. Getting a job with minimal experience is
difficult but going to college without a plan can
be frustrating and expensive.
THE GUIDEWith the help of the Ascent Gap Year at Grace Adventures, you can be prepared both personally and professionally for whatever
comes next. Multiple studies have shown that students who complete a Gap Year program benefit from higher
academic performance, easier job placement, and increased maturity. In this program you will have the freedom
to explore options and find your passions. You will leave with a better understanding of yourself and clearer
direction of God’s purpose for your life.
WHAT AM I DOING?WHY DOES IT MATTER?For a successful journey you must begin with the
necessary gear. During your time in Ascent, you will be
equipped as you focus on spiritual growth, character
and leadership development, and building career and
life skills. You will serve as a crucial part of the ministry
team at Grace Adventures, working with the thousands
of children, teens, and adults that come to our campus
every year. You will make a difference for eternity as
you work to impact people with Jesus.
COMMUNITYAt Grace Adventures we don’t just work together, we
do life together. Grace Adventures’ full time staffwill
mentor you, laugh with you, and teach you about
healthy relationships. Through working together, going
on various trips, and attending conferences the other
interns will be more than just your roommates - they
will become some of your best friends.

HOW DO I GET THERE?The ultimate goal of the Ascent program is that you
would leave with a better sense of direction for whatever
life has for you next. Whether that means going to
school, starting in a trade, or joining the workforce you
will have a better understanding of how God has wired
you. You will knowmore about the gifts He has given
you, and you will develop a plan to start using those gifts
and passions. You will also be eligible for college credit at
Grace Bible College, receive a Certificate of Completion
of Ascent, and be prepared for your next adventure.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School graduate, willing to learn and grow, physical
ability to travel and implement camp activities (walking,
lifting, carrying, work in various weather conditions).
ADDITIONALINFORMATION:
Tuition-based program, on-campus housing provided,
meals provided when serving groups, program duration
from September through May.
