IIntroduction

1. Shuncom Technology SZ05-L-PRO ZigBee module has the characteristics and advantages of

long communication distance, strong anti-jamming capability, flexible network and stable

performance. It can achieve point-to-point, multipoint, multi-multipoint transparent data

transmission between devices by self-organizing star, mesh network.2. It can be divided into three nodes in the network: Coordinator, Router and End-Device. The

Coordinator is the central nodes which can automatically initiate maintain and manage the

information of the network. The Router takes the charge of liking network together, transmitting the

data and associating with other routers and End-devices. And the terminal nodes only send and

receive the data. Coordinator, a router and end device, they are the same in hardware but the

embedded software is different. Software configuration can realize the different functions of

devices.

3. Shuncom SZ05-L-PRO wireless module had been widely applied in industry wireless monitoring

communication, such as wireless sensor data acquisition, smart home, internet of things, wireless

streetlight control, smart grid, wireless automatic meter reading, wireless automatic traffic.

V Configuration

1. Connecting to the computer

Put SZ05-L-PRO mount into the ZigBee Converter board and Evaluation board, then connect

the ZigBee evaluation board to computer.

2. Entering into the configuration mode as follows:

1).Open the Software SSCOM32 EnglishChoose right serial port and the configuration is

Baud rate: 38400, Data Bit: 8, parity: NONE, Stop Bit: 1, Flow: NONE

2). Power on.

3). Press CFGfor 3 seconds.

4). Alarm light and run light flash at the same time, which means Module is on configuration

mode.

Tips: About how to do the configuration, we will provide the configuration manual to you

for reference when you buy this module.

5).Default Configuration

Tips:The module will be out of the configuration mode when there is no more operation within

60 seconds. All the settings will stay unchanged.

3. The tips for the configuration

The coordinators MAC address is 0000. The MAC address of the non-coordinators (router and

end device) can be set optionally from 0001 to FFFE, but the routers MAC addresses must be

different in the same network, or else they cannot communicate.

Each network is defined with a unique Channel and Net ID. The channel and the Net ID must

be the same in the unique network. And the baud rate, parity, data bit should be consistent with

the connected devices

4. Notes:

(1) Power supply is voltage DC5V.

(2) Module is not waterproof and not lightning protection.

(3) The anode and cathode of power do not reversed, otherwise it will burn out the module.

(4) Module should be installed in anti- static environment, the antenna should be kept away

from the metal objects.
