PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTSHAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS

DANGERCorrosive. Causes irreversible eye damage and skin bums. Do not get in eyes, onskin, or clothing. May be fatal if inhaled. Harmful if swallowed or absorbed throughskin. This product may cause skin sensitization reactions in some people. Do notbreathe vapor or spray mist. Wear a mask or pesticide respirator jointly approved bythe Mine Safety and Health Administration and the National Institute for OccupationalSafety and Health.PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)Mixers, loaders and others exposed to methylisothiazolinone products must wear:

• long sleeve shirt and long pants• chemical resistant apron• chemical resistant gloves• shoes plus socks

Discard clothing or other absorbent materials that have been drenched or heavilycontaminated with this product's concentrate. Do not reuse them. Follow manufacturer'sinstructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables exist, usedetergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry.

USER SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONSUsers should:

• Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco orusing the toilet.

• Remove clothing immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then washthoroughly and put on clean clothing.

• Remove personal protective equipment immediately after handling thisproduct. Wash the outside of gloves before removing. As soon aspossible wash thoroughly

IF IN EYES:

FIRST AIDHold eye open and rinse slowly and gently withwater for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, ifpresent, after the first 5 minutes, then continuerinsing.Call a poison control center or doctor for treatmentadvice.

IF ON SKIN ORCLOTHING:

Take off contaminated clothing.Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20minutes.Call a poison control center or doctor for treatmentadvice.

IFSWALLOWED:

Call a poison control center or doctor immediately fortreatment advice.Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow.Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by apoison control center or doctor.Do not give anything by mouth to an unconsciousperson.

IF INHALED:

Move person to fresh air.If person is not breathing call 911 or an ambulance,then give artificial respiration preferably mouth-to-mouth if possible.Call a poison control center or doctor for furthertreatment advice.

Have the product container or label with you when calling a poison control center ordoctor, or going for treatment.

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDSThis chemical is toxic to terrestrial and aquatic plants, fish and aquatic invertebrates. Donot discharge effluent containing this product into lakes, streams, ponds, estuaries,oceans or other waters unless in accordance with the requirements of a NationalPollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit and the permitting authority hasbeen notified in writing prior to discharge. Do not discharge effluent containing thisproduct to sewer systems without previously notifying the local sewage treatment plantauthority. For guidance, contact your State Water Board or Regional Office of the EPA.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent withits labeling.

Do not apply this material in a way that will contact workers or other persons.

Troy's MERGAL9K12N is a microbiocide, which is effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria,yeasts, molds and algae. It may be used as an industrial preservative for emulsions, dispersionpaints and coatings, adhesives and building materials.MERGAL8K12N is a liquid and may be added at any point in the production process. For bestresults, it should be added as early in the manufacturing process as possible. If high temperature orhigh alkalinity is expected in the manufacturing process, it is recommended that MERGAL9K12N beadded after these conditions have been controlled.Usage rates may vary depending on the application and the user is advised to test the material todetermine the exact usage in an individual application. Typical usage rates are 0.05 to 0.20% inemulsions, paints and coatings and joint cements based on the total weight of the formulation. Usagerates of 0.02 to 0.20% are typical for adhesives based on the total weight of the formulation.

Pigment/clay slurries: 0.1 - 0.5% .Waterbome paints: 0.05 - 0.3%.Starch and thickener solutions and sealants (including caulks): 0.05 - 0.2% .Textile finishes and lubricants: 0.1 - 0.5%.Inks/Home Cleaning Products/Laundry Additives: 0.05 - 0.2% (0.05-0.2 lbs/100 Ibs formulation)

MERGAL®K12N is not to be used for coatings, adhesives or other materials that will come intocontact with food and food surfaces.

STORAGE AND DISPOSALDo not contaminate water, food or feed by storage and disposal.

STORAGE: Storage between 32°F (0°C) and 90°F (32°C) is recommended.DISPOSAL: Pesticide wastes are acutely hazardous. Improper disposal of excesspesticide, spray mixture or rinsate is a violation of Federal Law. If these wastescannot be disposed of by use according to the label directions, contact your StatePesticide or Environmental Control Agency or the Hazardous Waste Representativeat the nearest EPA Regional Office for guidance.CONTAINER HANDLING: Nonrefillable container, Do not reuse or refill thiscontainer. Clean container promptly after emptying. Triple rinse (or equivalent).Then offer for recycling or reconditioning, or puncture and dispose of in a sanitarylandfill, or by other procedures approved by State and local authorities. Triple rinseas follows: Empty the remaining contents into application equipment or a mix tank.Fill the container % full with water. Replace and tighten closures. Tip container on itsside and roll it back and forth, ensuring at least one complete revolution for 30seconds. Stand the container on its end and tip it back and forth several times.Empty the rinsate into application equipment or a mix tank or store rinsate for lateruse or disposal. Repeat this procedure two more times. Then offer for recycling orreconditioning if available, or puncture and dispose of in a sanitary landfill, orincineration, or, if allowed by state and local authorities, by burning. If burned, stay outof smoke.
