APPLICATIONS

• May be used in water or ice that is used to commercially prepare, process or store raw or further processed whole, half or quarter or red meat parts, trim, organs and intended for human consumption in accordance with FCN #1286

• May be used as general process water or ice antimicrobial agent on poultry carcasses, parts, and organs in accordance with current industry standards of good manufacturing practice

• May be used in water or ice that is used to commercially prepare, process or store fish or seafood intended for human consumption in accordance with FCN #1286

• May be used as antimicrobial water or brine treatment in the preparation and cooling of cooked and formed Ready-To-Eat meat and poultry products

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

When this product is used in ice, the requested use levels may be higher, but the desired use level may not be prepared by adding ice directly to the formulation.

MEAT APPLICATIONS

FOR USE ON RED MEAT PARTS, TRIM AND ORGANS. This product may be used in water or ice that is used to commercially prepare, process or store raw or further processed whole, half or quarter or red meat parts, trim, organs and intended for human consumption in accordance

with FCN #1286. The final amount necessary to accomplish the intended task will vary considerably from plant to plant. The maximum concentration will yield 220 ppm peroxyacetic acid, 82 ppm hydrogen peroxide and 12.3ppm HEDP. This residual activity may be reached by diluting this product by 1 fl. oz. per 5.7 gallons of water (v/v). Apply use solution to carcass or meat using spray application. Spray application may be at pressures up to 250 psi. Make-up water may be preheated up to 50° C (122° F) if desired. If used in cooling water or dip-tank application make-up water can be chilled to 1° C (33° F).

POULTRY APPLICATIONS

This product is used as general process water or ice antimicrobial agent on poultry carcasses, parts, and organs in accordance with current industry standards of good manufacturing practice (unless precluded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s standards of identity in 9 CFR part 381, subpart P) where the use of peroxyacids is listed in 21 CFR 173.370 and FCN #1286. The final amount necessary to accomplish the intended task will vary considerably from plant to plant. The maximum concentration will yield 220 ppm peroxyacetic acid, 82 ppm hydrogen peroxide and 12.3ppm HEDP. This residual activity may be reached by diluting this product by 1 fl. oz. per 5.7 gallons of water (v/v). Post evisceration uses of the product >100 ppm may infringe US Patent #5,632,676.

SEAFOOD APPLICATIONS

This product may be used in water or ice that is used to commercially prepare, process or store fish or seafood intended for human consumption in accordance with FCN #1286. The maximum dilution will yield 179 ppm peroxyacetic acid , 67 ppm hydrogen peroxide and 10 ppm HEDP. This residual activity may be reached by diluting this product by 1 fl. oz. per 7.0 gallons of water (v/v). A potable water rinse is not necessary.

COOLING WATER

This product may be used as antimicrobial water or brine treatment in the preparation and cooling of cooked and formed Ready-To-Eat meat and poultry products. Do not exceed those levels described in the “Meat” application use directions on this label, and in accordance with FCN #1286.

Stability:

a. Shelf @ 24°C / 75°F: 1 year

b. Keep cool. Storage at temperatures above 80°F will shorten shelf-life. Storage at high temperatures (above 120°F) could lead to dangerous self-accelerating decomposition.

c. Keep from freezing.

Carcass Wash FP must be stored in an upright position. The storage area should be protected from sources of radiant heat and shaded from sunlight. To prevent contamination of Carcass Wash FP, exposure to metals and alkalis must be avoided.
