UPS Paperless Invoice is an industry first.

We can provide paperless invoices because:

• UPS’s global technology infrastructure enables us to collect, transmit and clear shipments utilizing this electronic data

• Our relationship with Customs officials enables us to create a system where paper copies are provided only on an “as-needed” basis

• Within UPS’s secure network, the commercial invoice is available for presentation when required at its destination



How UPS PaperlessSM Invoice worksFirst, sign a letter of agreement for UPS to utilize your data to create a paperless invoice

• You supply us with digital files of your signature and letterhead, which UPS uses to apply to your paperless invoices

Once you are set up, all commercial invoice data to valid destinations is sent electronically

• While most destinations will accept a UPS Paperless Invoice, there are some exceptions in which a paper invoice is required

• Your shipping system will notify you when a destination requires a paper invoice and will print the required paper commercial invoices

UPS WorldShipTM 2008 version 10.0 requires you to complete all required fields, reducing the chance for error

• Upload your invoice detail along with your shipment detail

• Uploaded data is stored securely and cannot be edited



Integrating UPS PaperlessSM Invoice into your shipping process

• The latest UPS shipping systems (including UPS WorldShipTM 2008 version 10.0) include the functionality to process a paperless invoice

• Invoice information from external sources can be integrated to your shipping system
