7 colleges developing capacity to prepare for and respond to urgent environment, social, and economic threats through career pathways in:
health care, where remaining adept at responding to emergencies and crises is critical for survival
information technology, where data networks must remain functional during catastrophes
environmental technologies, where resilient infrastructures can help states and communities prevent and recover from disasters

Emerging Program: Working Families Success Network(WFSN)
Goal: help low income students and their families achieve financial stability
Approach: Intentional integration (“bundling”) of three core services
employment and education services screening and referral to public benefits and supports
financial coaching and education
Center for Working Families (CWF)
Based on pioneering work at Central NM started 10 years ago – Center for Working Families
Community Colleges (MDC Network of 16 colleges)
80 % of CWF students retained term-to-term, a rate that exceeded the general student population at those institutions by 15 %
115 United Way & Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) sites in 30 cities

Policy activities
State Policy Network – semiannual meetings of 11 networked states with Student Success Centers (MI, TX, AR), in CBD (NC, OH, FL) or long-time ATD states (OK, MA, CT, VA, HI)
3-4 college-led regional collaboratives to work on STEM policy and practice to build robust and highly structured STEM pathways to credentials with high value in the labor market and further education
