PROGRAM
Objectives:
Ÿ Identify and resolve common diagnostic dilemmas.
Ÿ Interpret appropriate ancillary tests for study cases.
Ÿ Integrate diagnostic, clinical, and pathologic challenges within
pathologist/ clinician communication.
Intended Audience:
This conference is designed mainly for practicing surgical pathologists.
Other medical laboratory scientists or physicians interested in enhancing their
delivery of care may also benet from this program.
Speakers:
Dr. Alessandra Ceolin Schmitt is a Senior Associate
Consultant at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, Arizona. She has
diverse experience in Head and Neck Pathology
(emphasis in thyroid and salivary gland), Gynecological
Pathology and Cytology. Dr. Alessandra Ceolin Schmitt
afliates with Mayo Clinic Hospital, cooperates with
many other doctors and specialists in medical group
Mayo Clinic Arizona.
Dr. Dora M. Lam-Himlin is a Consultant and Senior
Associate Professor at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, Arizona. She
has diverse experience in Gastrointestinal pathology, Liver
pathology and Pancreaticobilliary pathology. Dr. Lam-
Himlin afliates with Mayo Clinic Hospital, cooperates with
