I recently have obtained my Reading Endorsement and at the end of August 2016 I will hold my Masters in Reading Specialization from Kent State. I'm writing to apply for any teaching positions you have available for the upcoming school year. I am confident that my skills are well-aligned with the role, and that I would be an excellent fit for your school. I have had the privilege of working 1,500 hours in a variety of educational settings; such as second grade, kindergarten, preschool, and individual tutoring opportunities. With my experiences thus far, I would be a valuable addition to your teaching team, where I can continue to help kids learn in a fun, creative and safe environment, and contribute to their growth and well-being. I am currently a building substitute at Cloverleaf Elementary in Lodi Ohio. On most days I lead the classroom, while other days I am an intervention specialist, a special education teacher, a reading professional, or a specials teacher. I have to be extremely flexible and think on my toes to do this job effectively. I have developed many valuable skills while teaching diverse groups of students. I am skilled at individualizing the curriculum to meet each child's different needs and designing resourceful lesson plans that accommodate differing learning abilities and interests. I respect the unique way children learn and have learned to be flexible and patient while having high expectations for all students. I enjoy being creative and utilizing new ideas and approaches to improve the learning environment for my students. Throughout my many experiences in a classroom setting I have incorporated a variety of hands on activities, fun manipulatives and learning projects to inspire and motivate students. This also includes the integration of technology across the curriculum. One of my strong qualities includes cultivating and sustaining strong working relationships with all members of my staff community. It is my belief that we can all learn and grow from one another as a teaching team. I
