UPC RewindCamp War Eagle Events

This summer UPC sponsored an event for all the camp war eagle sessions. UPC held a gameshow that let upcoming freshmen show-case their knowledge of trivia and earn cash pirzes. The event was to give the freshmen a chance to take a break and relax from the orientation process. The gameshows were a success and every-one who participated had a great time.

Iron Man 2 UPC kicked off this semester with Iron Man 2 on August 17. The movie was presented the night before classes started to give stu-dents a chance to relax before classes began. The movie was played on the Student Center Green Space and over 1000 stu-dents came out to watch. Popcorn and Candy were given away to really give students the “movie” experience.

Open Mic NightFine Arts presented Open Mic Night August 31 in the AUSC Student Center. The event showcased many different talents including sing-ing, rapping, comedy, music and much more. There were more than 20 performers and the crowd enthralled until the end. Coffee and pasteries were provided throughout the event.

Hello! My name is Victoria Dominic and I am the University Program Coun-cil President. University Program Council, better known as UPC, is a student run organization that plans events for Auburn students. Each event takes time to organize and it is our responsibility to make sure students are heard so that we may provide the best experience possible. UPC has been working all summer to prepare a calendar full of new, as well as old time favorite events. I am really look-ing forward to this year! We have a lot of exciting events planned including a Self Defense Workshop, a drive in movie, and a Comedy Showcase! As the Fall year begins, there will be many opportunities for students to become involved. I highly encourage students to take these opportunities to find what they love and be the best at it. Being involved on campus provides many great skills that can be used after graduation, and of course friends and memories that will last a life time. Being a student run organization we are always looking to hear from the student body. Make sure to check out our website, www.auburn.edu/upc for up-coming events and information! Remember, UPC definitely wants to hear from YOU! Email us at [email protected]
