That is no country for old men;the youth get sloshedend stagger through double doors,tattoos on their armseyes stoned.

The old men wait,knowing their turnis a moveable feast,despite the bluecoat’s promisesthey are eighth on the list.

And still they wait,observe the to and fro,the quick dispatchof those who arrivedmuch later than they,assess whose recoverywould seem the better bet.

Accident and Emergency

Day crawls into night,the digital clocka silent mocker,(you’d need a calendar in here)names called,anyone’s but their’s.

Glued to wheelchairs,their motionsare at the whimof orderlies.

The old men wait;they know they have no choice.it has been ordainedby those who perhaps forgethow time passes.
