Unordinary Peace

Sometimes you just need to know that you’re okay. There are days when you wake up or when you are going to bed, and you just need someone to tell you that everything is okay. Look to the Psalms. The writer who is usually David but not always pours out their heart. Sometimes it’s a cry out to God in a time of trouble. Sometimes it’s a moment of thankfulness because they realized God is in control. Psalm 91:1-4 (NLT) says this,

1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. 3 For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. 4 He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection

His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Believe in the promises of God and be patient. If you are having a difficult time, He is there. He is your refuge. Reread Psalm 91:1-4 What stands out to you in this passage? What do you learn about God? What about people? How can you apply this to your life right now? Pray and ask for God’s help in this journey.
