UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MALAYSIA (UTM):

Managing Water Environments in

Tropical Countries

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is a leading innovation-

driven entrepreneurial research university in engineering,

science and technology. It is one of the top Public Research Universities in Malaysia. The Managing

Water Environments in Tropical Countries is part of UTM’s Malaysian Tropical Educational Experience

(MyTREE) program and takes place in UTM’s Johor Bahru campus in multicultural Iskandar Malaysia.

Malaysia is a rojak* of various cultures, races and languages, and it is the perfect destination for anyone

who wishes to experience diversity, true cross-cultural communication and to enhance their Asia

intelligence! Studying at UTM will give you a multiplicity of new experiences and hopefully lasting

friendships made over a short period of time.

*Rojak is a traditional Malaysian fruit and vegetable salad dish. The term “Rojak” is Malay for mixture,

and it is commonly used to describe the multi-ethnic, multicultural and multilingual nature of Malaysia!
