drew.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and
approved.

SPPRC: Nancy reported that their meeting went
well and they always have an open ear for posi-
tive and negative comments. They want to keep
the lines of communication open. Also it is time
to do evaluations for Pastor Andrew and the rest
of the staff.
Trustees: Cliff reported that they need new gar-
age door openers for the parsonage and also still
need to repair the front steps of the parsonage as
well as take care of the mold issue in the dining
room. Chuck and Ron redid the floors in the
men’s bathroom downstairs in the fellowship hall
and may do the floor in the women’s bathroom.
Thanks guys--we appreciate you!!!

new banners are completed and the children will
pass out favors on Mother’s Day.

fund raiser. VBS will be July 28-30 and the
theme is Hay Day. Right now Bibles are
handed out to third graders, but if the clas-
ses are combined, maybe they need to be
given to second graders. The church could
then also give more age-appropriate Bibles
to confirmation students.
UMW: The fellowship dinner was well at-
tended and special membership pins were
given to Barb Adams and Carol Shuler.
Pastor Report: Andrew was very pleased
with Easter service and all of Holy week. He

Announcements
To my Amazing Church Family, I want to
say Thank you although I know those two
words don’t say how much you all have
done for me! The food, cards, texts, mes-
sages, visits and prayers are more than I

time you have lifted my spirit and kept it
there When I was unable to pray through

ways know how much each of you meant
and were placed in my heart. But to see
the abundance of care and love for me
and my family from you can not be ex-
plained by words how beautiful that is in
my heart. So I say Thank You to each
and every one of you but know that my
heart, body, mind, and soul think much
more than a thank you it sings such
amazing praise for the Love of you! With
all my Love and Blessings to you,

Education
A life-filled prayer
A high school senior in Washington, D.C., offered this graduation prayer, which ap-plies to people of all ages:
“Dear God, grant us one thing before we leave the sheltered reassurance of our childhood. Show us life. Not an empty, shallow world of shallow people and shal-low dreams, but real life. For we have known the bliss of childhood as well as the passion of adolescence.
“We want to make the world a better place, but we don’t know how. We want to throw our arms around our brothers and our sis-ters, but our hands cannot reach. We want to break the cycle of violence and the bonds of injustice in our society, but we’re not strong. “Smile on us when we drink from the wa-ters of truth. When we are old, reassure us that our struggle helped make the world a kinder, gentler and more peaceful place. And please, God, don’t let us die without ever having lived.”
Congratulations to our church youth who are graduating this year: Laramie Sproles, Madison Shuey, Kaleigh Westlake, and Dakota Monroe.
In the April 14th Omaha World Herald there was a arti-
cle about the Dobson Pipe Organ Builders Ltd of Lake City, Iowa and how they are building the new pipe or-gan for the 13
th century stone chapel at Merton Col-
lege, one of the 36 institutions that make up Oxford, the oldest university in the English speaking world. This is their first overseas job; they have been working on it for 5 years and are to deliver in time for the 2014 observance of the 750
th anniversary of Merton’s found-
ing. This is the first American organ at Oxford and only the third American made organ sent to England since World War II. Dobson ‘s Pipe Organ Builders employ 18 people and of those 18 are two men who have been coming to Corning to restore our pipe organ. They are willing to work at what we can afford at the time and trying to repair what is needed on first need basis.
I think it is really great that we are able to have these kind of builders willing to take care of Coring Methodist Church pipe organ. I hope you read the article.
.
Don’t forget to turn in your recipes
for the cookbook!! They need to be
into the office by May 12. Recipes
for main dishes would be greatly
appreciated.
