    • god of gods in old kingdom• the wind god in later years• combined with ra to create AmunRa the 

    main god of ancient Egypt• Later became connected with Zeus in 

    ancient Greece

    • sun god and has many forms• created all human and animal life• combined with other gods like Amun and 

    Horus• most used and worship deity in Egypt

    • goddess of motherhood and fertility• married brother Osiris• flooding each year came from her tears 

    after her husbands death• still worshipped in many Pagan religions 

    today

    • god of life, death, underwold, transition• one of the most important gods because of 

    Egyptians view of the afterlife• married to Isis and fathered Horus• the crops growing each year were thought to 

    be his regeneration from Isis's tears...

    • god of the sky, soil, war, and hunting• parents are Osiris and Isis• "eye of horus" is a sign of protection for 

    royalty and deities• often portrayed as a falcon• was the first king of Egypt (pharaohs)
