IntroductionA healthy lifestyle is important as it helps you to have a good life. Doing exercise and eating a healthy diet will help you live longer. Healthy eating and exercise help prevent diseases and illnesses. Things like cancer, obesity and heart disease. A healthy lifestyle can also make you feel and look better.

In this unit, you will learn how your body systems work together to allow you to participate in an active lifestyle. We will find out how to have a healthy and active lifestyle and diet. We will look at the different ways diet and exercise can affect our health. We will also look at how we can improve our lifestyle. This unit will help you understand how to stay healthy by changing your exercise and eating habits. You will also learn how physical activity can help you make friends, feel happier and improve your fitness. In practical lesson we will look at health and skill related fitness tests and sports performance.

Skeletal systemThe human skeleton is an amazing system. There are 206 bones in the human skeleton. These bones protect, shape, support and move our bodies.

The skeleton can be split into two parts: the axial and appendicular skeleton. The axial skeleton is made up of the skull, backbone, ribs and chest. The appendicular skeleton is made up of the limbs, hips and shoulders.
