1.0 CARRY-OUT ELECTRICAL SYSTEM INSPECTION2.0 COORDINATE W/ SR. BOILER / TURBINE

ENGR. ON BREAKERS TO BE SERVICED /POWER REQUIREMENTS

3.0 COORDINATE W/ THE POWER MANAGEMENT CENTER (PMC) UNIT START-UP (ESTIMATED TIME BEFORE UNIT SYNCHRONIZATION,LOAD RAISING,ETC.)

• 4.0 AT THE START OF TURBINE ROLLING• A) INFORM PMC OF ESTIMATED TIME OF UNIT

SYNCHRONIZATION , INITIAL LOAD (ie ; 50MW)• B) PUT THE AUTOMATIC POSITIONS AND THE

CONTROL SWITCHES FOR THYRISTOR COOLING FANS AT EXCITATION CONTROL CUBICLE , ALSO SELECT AT THE SELECTOR SWITCH FOR “A” OR “B” FAN

• C) SWITCH ON THE MCCB FOR GEN. INITIAL EXCITATION @ THE 125VDC DISTRIBUTION PANEL (CVCF ROOM)

• D) SWITCH ON THE MCCB FOR FIELD CIRCUIT BREAKER (FCB) CONTROL POWER AT THE BACK OF THE FCB CUBICLE

• E) PLACE THE FIELD CIRCUIT BREAKER AT THE CONNECTED POSITION.

5.0 AT 3565 RPM TURBINE SPEED , THE FIELD CIRCUIT BREAKER CLOSES AUTOMATICALLY (INDICATING LIGHT SHIFTS FROM GREEN TO RED@GEN. CONTROL PANEL AND VOLTAGE BEGINS TO GRADUALLY BUILDS-UP TO

RATED VOLTAGE @ NO-LOAD (21.5-22 KV)

D) INFORM PMC OF POSSIBLE SYNCHRONIZATIONE) SYNCHRONIZE THE UNIT TO THE SYSTEM BY CLOSING BREAKER 81CC8 USING SYNCHRONIZING KEY

NOTE: BEFORE SYNCHRONIZATION PLEASE OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING;1. INCOMING FREQUENCY IS A LITTLE BIT HIGHER THAN THE RUNNING FREQUENCY

2. INCOMING VOLTAGE IS A LITTLE BIT HIGHER THAN THE RUNNING VOLTAGE3. INCOMING GENERATOR MUST BE IN PHASE TO RUNNING GENERATOR.(IT IS SAID TO BE IN PHASE WHEN THE SYNCHROSCOPE POINTER IS AT EXACTLY 12

8.0 PERFORM THE FOLLOWING

• A) LOAD – UP• B) VALVE TRANSFER• C) INITIAL LOAD HEAT SOAK• D) LOADING RATE

• 9.0 LOAD – UP USING LOAD LIMITTER IN COORDINATION W/ LOAD SETTER COORDINATE
