Workforce Development Solution Unique Services Logistics (USL) has developed an employer based curriculum in which participants can be training in Operations, Entrepreneurial, and Management roles within the logistics and transportation industries. USL is an Eligible Training Provider (ETP) with The Ohio Dept. of Job and Family Services. As an ETP, qualified participants’ training can be paid for with Workforce Investment Act Funding. As one solution to the need for trained candidates to fill the overwhelming need of logistics and transportation companies in Ohio, USL offers a threefold solution. First, candidates who qualify, will attend a three week fast tract training to prepare them for employment and upon successful completion will receive an industry recognized credential. Secondly, the participants will have the opportunity to be employed by USL in our staffing division to be placed for seasonal and/or temporary-to-permanent employment opportunities with employers in Ohio. Finally, USL recognizes that one of the main barriers of employment for individuals is transportation. Therefore, transportation opportunities for participants to and from the work site is offered. The goal of this workforce development model is to recruit, train, employ, and transport individuals who are seeking a sustainable career in Logistics.
