Corrosion pitting can first be addressed by using a Unique Polymer Systems LTD rebuilding grade polymer before over coating with a ceramic enhanced coating to give maximum protection. Repair & Protection of Rudders & A-Frames Rudders and A-Frames, along with other components such as propellers and impellers are prone to problems of erosion – corrosion accentuated by cavitation. Unique Polymer Systems LTD can offer a range of ceramic enhanced products to combat such problems, which are widely used throughout the industry. Repair & Resurfacing of Bow Thrusters The mild steel liners of bow thrusters are susceptible to erosion – corrosion causing deep pitting on the surface. Using Unique Polymer Systems LTD ceramic enhanced product range, the metallic surface can be rebuilt to pre- corrosion levels and over coated wit ensure the liner and surrounding areas are given maximum protection.

Composite Repair & Protection This epoxy based product range has been designed to be used in steel and plastic pipe work. This system can be used on board vessels while in transit and can encapsulate long lengths of large diameter pipe work, eradicating the need for expensive renewal work and welding. Condenser & Heat Exchanger Refurbishment End plates and tube sheets are susceptible to erosion – corrosion damage and would normally require expensive machining and welding work. Using the Unique Polymer Systems LTD product range the abrasive blast steel surface can be rebuilt using a ceramic enhanced rebuilding grade material and resurfaced using out abrasion resistant coating. Tank Linings With a comprehensive range of solvent free and solvent based epoxy and polyurethane coatings, Unique Polymer Systems LTD is able to offer a wide range of proven solutions for tank lining. This range of products can be applied to abrasive blast cleaned, hydro blasted and mechanically prepared surfaces. Applications include water, effluent and chemical tanks.
