Text: Luke 10:30-37 (p. 868)

Mercy _____ as mercy ________.

Mercy isn’t merely a feeling or general outlook on life. Mercy is part of the way we live life; it’s sympathy in

We live in a “pull yourself up by your own ________________” kind of world.

And what it means is that we should take care of ourselves and not need anyone else. We should be

Because of his great love for us, God, who is _____________ in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when

we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4–5
