Mogo excursion compliments units of work traditionally completed by Stage 3 bi-annually. I’m sure that our students will excel in regard to their behaviour during their time at Mogo. I’m confident that each and every one of them will prove themselves to be excellent ambassadors for our school and for Public Education in general. I look forward to hearing all about the excursion upon their return to school in Week 3. Parent Café Re-launch Please come along on Wednesday, 3rd of August to the re-launch of the Unanderra Public School Parent Café. The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are on us. We would love to see as many of our community members as possible between 2:00pm and 3:00pm. The Parent Café is an initiative that we are trialling in 2016. The basic idea is to provide informal opportunities for our school community to meet with staff in order to give us some feedback on elements of our performance. If you are unable to make P&C meetings but have some ideas around how we could improve community involvement within our school, we’d love to see you next Wednesday. National Tree Day Our school has been fortunate enough to secure the donation of 100 native plants as well as the expertise and assistance of staff from the Wollongong Botanic Gardens in establishing two new gardens on our school site. This coming Friday, students from Stage 2 will be assisting staff from the Botanic Gardens in planting many of the local natives that have been selected for our two new gardens. Students in Stage 2 are reminded to bring their own set of garden gloves where possible. Unanderra Public School wishes to thank the Wollongong Botanic Gardens for their generosity and assistance in establishing these new garden beds. Have a great week,

Gavin Hoy Relieving Principal
