Umetrix® BatteryAutomated Battery Life Measurement System (Quantum)
Umetrix Battery automates use case-based battery life testing with support for the CTIA standard
Umetrix Battery enables highly-realistic user activity to be recorded on the device under test. It is comprised of the Umetrix Battery desktop interface, the Quantum Mobile application installed on the device under test, and a Umetrix probe used for current drain and power measurements. Use cases based on the recorded activity may be played back in one of two modes: the software-only battery depletion mode or the probe-based power measurement mode.
Use cases1. Battery life assessment for device launch readiness including support for CTIA
and GSMA test cases Measure the impact of services and network features on battery life and power consumption and determine if new device models are ready to launch by evaluating devices in live network / field environments. Automate CTIA battery life testing and assess highly-realistic usage scenarios such as web browsing, gaming, voice calls, short message service, video streaming and more.
2. Reverse Logistics/Returns assessment and user trials Identify and test faulty devices from the pool of No Trouble Found (NTF) devices with minimal user intervention in testing. Automate testing for large groups of devices without the need for a network emulator or live network SIMs.
3. Pre-test devices simultaneously for carrier device acceptance Pre-test hundreds of devices simultaneously to accelerate submission to carrier acceptance programs. Create and pre-record custom test cases to reduce testing time and better understand the user experience of battery life.
