5 – PRODUCT PRESENTATION
QUALITY OF EXAMS:
1. The wide lateral notch on the left allows a better apical positioning of the
probe.
NB: in the left lateral declivity, flat table, the notch is maximum, which is
optimal for the practitioner and the patient: improvement of the
ultrasonic window and patient & practitioner comfort, better imaging
2. The lateral inclination (maximum 30 °) allows the patient who can not be
mobilized, remaining flat-back, a better quality of examination by
contact of the heart with the wall, improving the ultrasonic window
3. The neck hole - face allows:
1. flat back cervical hyper extension for carotid examinations.
2. on the belly, posterior angiological examinations vertebral and
posterior veins of the legs
NB: occipital support (option) is useful for vertebral artery examinations.
4. The variable height and the electric headrest allow the practitioner to
adjust the patient to its morphology with the wired multifunctional
remote control.
5. Proclive - verticalization -20 ° + 80 ° of the entire couch for venous
angiology examinations.
6. Declive - Trendelenburg -20 ° in case of vagal discomfort.
ON STRESS POSITION :
7. The tray is equipped with a retractable gluteal seat in semi rigid foam,
specially designed for pedaling without any discomfort between the
legs.
8. The ergometer mounted on the chassis, its positioning is adjusted AV-AR
to the rest, and motorized by a remotely controlled cylinder, allowing
the adjustment of the pedaling distance, even during the effort
9. couch: specific anti-bump system, specific pedaling shaft, quick-release
pedals.
10. The proclive-verticalization of the platform up to 80 ° makes it possible to
limit the elevations of pulmonary pressure, to increase the power of
pedaling, the performances and to get as close as possible to the
physiology.
COMFORT :
11. Quality Bultex high density foam, high thickness and similar SPA.Specially designed tray design: double
notch:
1. On the right to :
1. Facilitate access and positioning of the patient. This one spontaneously sets his buttocks
for an ideal positioning.
ULTRA Koch EXCERCISE – User Manual – Version 1.01 – June 2018 page
10
2. Allow an approach of the practitioner working with the right hand, either next to the
couch, or in sitting position above
3. Give a comfortable seat, specially designed, on a tray to the practitioner working with
the right hand
2. On the left to facilitate the positioning of the LLD probe in apical and a better approach in
parasternal
12. Variable height:
1. At the bottom, 65 cm, the table is at the height of the popliteal hollows and allows the sitting
without walking foot.
2. At the top, 102 cm max: comfort of the practitioner for a work sitting next to the bed or on the
bed, or standing.Electric headboards:
3. Comfort of the practitioner and the patient,
4. Examination of supra-aortic trunks
5. To modify the inclination of the bust during the exam without moving the practitioner.
13. Hip and shoulder blocking rolls:
1. Rotational comfort and soft foam coating: secures the patient
2. In the upper position of the tray, the wedging roller acts as a bend for the practitioner, both flat
and in lateral inclination, reducing the risks of the spine and shoulder
14. Lateral inclination:
1. To avoid mobilizations in obese, elderly or operated people (sternotomy ...) etc ....
15. LEDS:
1. Indirect multi-color floor lighting: visual comfort of the doctor.
2. Zen relaxing atmosphere for the patient.

ON STRESS POSITION :
18. The retractable gluteal wedge in semi-rigid foam is specially studied in its positioning, its shape and its
texture for an optimal comfort of the subject, avoiding the use of an uncomfortable saddle:
Global Innovation
19. The verticalization is the guarantor of the efficiency of the pedaling, and makes it possible to limit the
elevations of pulmonary pressure
20. The multi-purpose wired remote control allows you to change the positions of the lift-up headrest, the
ergometer, the height and the lateral inclination at any time, even during pedaling.
21. The ergonomics of pedaling is similar to the semi-recumbent road bike, well known in everyday use.
ULTRA Koch EXCERCISE – User Manual – Version 1.01 – June 2018 page
11
22. Automatic appearance of the lateral setting when tilting in LLD position: Global Innovation
23. From the patient's facility, easy in the lower position of the table, for a resting ultrasound until the end
of the stress test, the patient is safe and does not have to move, all the settings position are
automatically and easily done by the doctor.
24. The Trendelenburg position is very interesting in case of vagal discomfort: innovation
25. Position of the practitioner:
1. Left hand using : the notch allows apical access, the hip pads give support for the practitioner's
elbow
2. Right hand using : the right notch allows to be closer to the patient
3. At any time, the practitioner can, thanks to the remote control, modify the position of the
patient for a better observation.
SAFETY :
26. The maximum permissible load is 200 kg
27. The setting rollers are dependent on the chassis, not the platform, and therefore very robust.
28. The bust - pelvis - leg safety straps are standard, to be used if the practitioner considers a risk for the
patient
29. The left side headrest roller has three keying positions:
1. 0: flat
2. 1: shoulder
3. 2: armpit
30. The table should only be used under the responsibility of a state certified professional who will check
the patient and the surrounding staff, especially when maneuvering the cylinders.
31. ON STRESS POSITION :
32. The maximum permissible load is 180 kg
33. Trendelenburg in case of vagal syncope
Never tilt the tray sideways without first reading the armpit setting.
The straps allow the patient to remain on the couch, especially during examinations under anesthesia.

1. Doppler ultrasound, vascular
2. clinical examination, ECG, cardiac and vascular Doppler
3. Review of stress and pharmacological efforts
4. possible physiotherapy table, rapid resuscitation.
42. Transfer bed / table: thanks to the variable height
43. Trans-oesophageal echography (TOE):
1. The maximum angle headrest-platform raised is 80 ° allowing a sitting position of the patient for
an easier introduction of the probe
2. The electric controls for lowering of the headrest and lateral tilt allow the patient to easily be
placed in the transesophageal ultrasound examination position without mobilizing the patient.
3. Tee: TOE probe support (option).
4. This accessory allows easy maintenance of the probe handle in a
padded gutter mounted on a weighted foot, mobile.
5. On the TOE position, the Tee is extremely stable, the mobilization of
the probe is facilitated by the tilting of the gutter as well as its
retention, especially for 3D exams thanks to a cushion of gel: just
necessary and sufficient maintenance , without locking the handle
6. Its small footprint makes it useful both in the examination rooms, as
in the operating room.
7. This accessory can be used as a forearm support for the patient
(perfusion) during pharmacological stress ultrasound
8. The TEE is easy mobility on wheels.
9. Hygiene: the probe is kept away from the patient and the doctor, from the examination bed.
Disinfection of the Tee is easy. The electric mobilization of the ergometer is fast (24 seconds)
makes it possible to move very quickly from the "rest" position to the "effort" position, without
any manipulation of the patient.

Lock securely all four wheels during exams.
Be careful when mobilizing moving parts by using the cylinders, under the responsibility of the state
graduate.
The patient's installation is always done on the right side (opposite the rollers) and with the help of a
specially trained person
If needed, use both straps to increase patient safety, especially during TOE.
Cardiology :
58. If the practitioner works with the left hand, the table is optimized in all applications.
The very innovative lateral inclination here has all its usefulness.
59. If the practitioner works with the right hand, the lateral inclination is of course only usable if it is
working upright.
The right notch increases the comfort of the practitioner
Rest Position:
60. The ergocycle is lowered in the axis of the couch.
61. The gluteal fit is returned to the inside of the couch by simply pressing on
it and simultaneously pulling the key
62. The table is placed in a low position to facilitate the access of the patient
by the right thanks to the remote control
63. The height of the table is adjusted thanks to the remote control
64. Adjust the position of the forearm support according to the comfort
desired by the patient
65. Possibly strap the patient (not mandatory)
66. Possibly to obtain a better observation window, without moving the
patient, actuate the remote control to obtain a left lateral declivity,
after taking care to raise the wedge shoulder-armpit
Stress Position Effort :
67. Actuate the lever located below the examination table to automatically show
the gluteal fixation
68. Operate the remote control of the table to raise the backrest and put the
patient in semi-recumbent position according to the desired comfort
69. Operate the remote control of the ergocycle to put it in the "effort" position as
close as possible to the plateau
70. Place the feet on the pedals and fasten them with the scratch straps
71. Manually position the ergometer on its longitudinal axis with square section to
adjust the pedaling distance, then adjust this distance with the electric
remote control. This adjustment can also be done during the effort

15
72. Adjust the height of the table with the remote control
73. Possibly strap the patient
74. Operate the proclive-verticalization remote control at discretion
75. It is recommended to start the stress test with the table only in proclive and then to put the patient in
LLD possibly, to obtain a better window of observation, without moving the patient, to actuate the
remote control to obtain a lateral declivity left.
76. At the end of the exam, return to the "rest" position.
ULTRA Koch EXCERCISE – User Manual – Version 1.01 – June 2018 page
16
77. In case of vagal discomfort:
1. Remove the LLD position
2. Lower the headrest electrically
3. Place the table in Trendelenburg position
All adjustments done with the remote controls can be done during the stress test, to improve the comfort of
the patient or the echo cardiographic observation window. The patient does not have to move or change
position during the examination, it is the practitioner who best adapts the settings of the table and the
ergometer.
Angiology :
78. Cervical :
1. Electric headboard flat.
2. Off-the-neck cushion for carotids flat back or facial hole on the
stomach for vertebral arteries

1. Variable table height
2. Proclive verticalization for venous
3. Flat stomach with facial hole for venous posterior
TOE (transoesophageal echocardiography)
80. Introduction of the probe:
1. if possible in classic patient
2. otherwise in LLD at the cylinder with armpit wedge at an angle of
only 30 °
81. sometimes sitting on the headrest raised to the maximum then put in LLD
to the cylinder under medical responsibility, risk of false route increased
82. The cylinders make it possible to adapt the position of the patient during
the examination
83. To increase the quality of the ultrasound window, put the patient in LLD.
The mobilization of the patient while remaining motionless here is of
great importance to the discomfort of the examination.
84. The TEE (optional) is particularly useful for automatically maintaining the probe without compromising
its mobility.
Trendelenburg
85. At any time, in case of vagal discomfort, it is possible to very quickly put
the patient in Trendelenburg by putting all positions flat with the remote
control
86. In flat position, a second pressure puts the table in -20 °
