On occasion of Golden Jubilee Year of Pt.

Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, a lecture

series, was held at University Institute of Pharmacy,

Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University Raipur, (C.G.) on

13th of July 2013 at 1.30 p.m. at seminar hall. Dr.

Pulok K Mukherjee, Director, School of Natural

Product Studies, Department of Pharmaceutical

Technology, Jadhavvpur University, Kolkata, and

Dr. Narasimhan Srinivasan, Chairman, Asthagiri

herbal Research Foundation Chennai , India were the key note speakers of the session. The

session was graced by Prof.S. K. Pandey, Vice Chancellor, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla

University Raipur. The untiring and endless efforts of Hon. Vice Chancellor, Pt. RSU, made

this session worth possible. Prof. Shailendra Saraf,

Ex-Director of the institute had welcomed the guests

and accompanied them to the dais. The invited speakers

received a warm welcome by Prof. Swarnlata Saraf,

Director, Institute of Pharmacy, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla

University Raipur on the behalf of whole UIOP, family.

In the lieu of lecture series, Dr. Narasimhan

Srinivasan, Chairman, Asthagiri herbal Research

Foundation Chennai, India delivered the lecture on “Insights into standardization of

Ayurvedic Products”. He emphasized on the application of various analytical techniques in

quality control of Ayurvedic products. Dr. Pulok K Mukherjee, delivered the lecture on the

theme “Paradigm shift in natural product research”.

Motivational Lecture by

Padamshree Santosh Yadav

(7th August 2013)

On the occasion of Golden Jubilee year of Pt.

Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh

organized motivational lecture held on 7th august 2013

at 1: 30am C.V. Raman hall in the campus. The program

was motivational and inspirational to all delegates and

audience. The aim of this program was to boost up self-

confidence, decision making power and enthusiasm to

interested work for new generation.

Yadav to taking his precious time for seminar.

followed by a healthy interactive session between students, faculty member and delegates.

Medicinal Garden Inauguration

plantation day was organized by the University

University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The invited guests received a warm welcome by Prof.

Professor (Academics, CSIR) and Senior

Principal Scientist (NISTADS) was the invited

guest and speaker. Prof. Shailendra Saraf

(UIOP, PRSU) welcomed the guest speaker with a bouquet. Before the commencement of the

lecture, Prof. Swarnlata Saraf, Director, University Institute of Pharmacy, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla

University, Raipur (C.G.)., paid gratitude to key speaker for giving his precious time for guest

Pharmacist’s Day Celebration

To acknowledge the Pharmacy Profession, University Institute of Pharmacy organized

“Pharmacist’s Day” on 25th September 2013 at 2:30 pm in Institute’s hall at University Institute of

Pharmacy, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur (C.G.).

After a long tiring efforts of Prof. B. Suresh, President,

Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi 25th September

is now officially announced as the Red Letter Day in the

history of Pharmacy Profession. This day from now

onwards, will be celebrated every year as “Pharmacist

Day” to give recognition to Pharmacy profession. On

this auspicious occasion, Prof. Swarnlata Saraf,

Director, University Institute of Pharmacy, Pt.

Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur (C.G.).,

motivated the students and encouraged them for joining

by Prof. B. Suresh, for this promotional step. He further said, that “Pharmacist’s Day” would play

an important role in recognizing the importance of Pharmacists in the society.

Three days National Seminar

University Institute of Pharmacy, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur organized a

three days National Conference on “Nano Dermatology Advances, Pitfalls and Future

Challenges” from 28th to 30th April 2014. The theme of the conference was based on the

sustainable use of nano systems for the application of skin disorders, and address to current

technologies in delivery of dermatological preparations and to explore new dimensions in this

field of nano dermatology.

The Convener and the Director of the Institute, Prof. Swarnlata Saraf welcomed all the

participants and urged them to grasp more

scientific knowledge from the eminent

medical aspects of nanotechnology in skin

health and disease. The Chairman of the

Conference, Prof. Shailendra Saraf

underlined the significance of

nanotechnology. The Organizing Secretary of

the Conference, Dr. Amber Vyas, expressed

the need and benefits for attending the present Conference. Many eminent speakers were
