Proposal Development (Pre-Award)

» Conducts workshops on Finding Funding, Grants, Development, Proposal Writing, Budget & Compliance, and related research topics

» Assists with finding funding sources

» Works with researchers on narrative development, budget development, editing, graphics, and formatting

» Develops budgets, checks for compliance with RFP, CASB, UGA accounting standards, and completes all forms

» Signs on behalf of the Dean and COE and is the Sponsored Programs liaison

Grants Management (Post-Award)» Post-award accountants oversee the financial

management of grant and contract awards and:

• Provide monthly budget reports to the principal investigator

• Monitor budget amendments, personnel reports, purchase orders, travel, etc.
