Newsletter of the United Church of Primghar December, 2015 and January, 2016 - Volume 12 & 1 Seven years ago my life changed dramatically. I brought Kezia home from the hospital. In a moment, all of my pri- orities changed. It is amazing the difference a small baby can make. As we enter into the season of Advent, I think about the emotions that I felt as I prepared to welcome her into the world. And I realize that those are the emotions that we are able to celebrate as we prepare for Christmas. We are all able to experience the Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love that Christ comes for all of us. Just as I had that season of nesting in preparation for my daughter, we are able to celebrate the preparation for Christ to come into all of our lives in a new and refreshed way. Whether we are hearing the stories for the first time or the hundredth time, it doesn’t matter because we are all constantly growing in our faith and we are mov- ing forward to experiencing the grace of God and being born again with Christ. Duane and I are excited about the new beginning that we are able to experience as we celebrate our first Christmas season in O’Brien County. We are looking for- ward to hosting people at the parsonage on December 11 from 4-8 PM and allow the congregations to see how we are using the house the church provided to make it a home. -Blessings, Pastor Kris Please note that this month’s newsletter is for both December and January. Newsletter of the United Church of Primghar December, 2015 and January, 2016 - Volume 12 & 1

Seven years ago my life changed dramatically. I brought

Kezia home from the hospital. In a moment, all of my pri-

orities changed. It is amazing the difference a small baby

can make. As we enter into the season of Advent, I think

about the emotions that I felt as I prepared to welcome her into the world. And I

realize that those are the emotions that we are able to celebrate as we prepare for

Christmas. We are all able to experience the Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love that

Christ comes for all of us. Just as I had that season of nesting in preparation for

my daughter, we are able to celebrate the preparation for Christ to come into all of

our lives in a new and refreshed way.

Whether we are hearing the stories for the first time or the hundredth time, it

doesn’t matter because we are all constantly growing in our faith and we are mov-

ing forward to experiencing the grace of God and being born again with Christ.

Duane and I are excited about the new beginning that we are able to experience as

we celebrate our first Christmas season in O’Brien County. We are looking for-

ward to hosting people at the parsonage on December 11 from 4-8 PM and allow

the congregations to see how we are using the house the church provided to make

it a home.

-Blessings, Pastor Kris
