Uses / Purpose of the website?  The website allows you to buy games DVD’s and music CD’s it also lets you watch films on demand and it gives you information. It updates itself constantly giving you the latest things when it first comes out.  Some of the uses of the website:

Features of the website (what does it let you do?) 

 The features of HMV are A colourful colour scheme, a very open wide homepage also very detailed with a picture of the Avengers which are advertising the film. The navigation is very clear and great. HMV include a lot of pink and black. The website is updated very often, which is very attractive. Very big pictures for people who haven’t got as good eye sight as the rest of the people. It’s showing its number of other resources including Face book, Twitter, Youtube and several other Ways.  Hyperlinks which take you to other places. Action buttons The buttons at the top or side of the page to take you to interesting things on the website.  Hotspots Pictures that take you to other areas in or out of the Website.  E‐mail links Where you can contact the company by E‐mail.  Registrations logins Where you register with the website to check items.  Colours The colour has a specific colour scheme.  Layout The layout is how the website is laid out.

Graphics Video and animation It’s if theres any moving images or video’s on the website. Audio Is the sounds that the websites make, like for example having a sound track on the website.  Text The text on the website is changed and how it’s written.      

(M1) How could the website be improved? Must Include features such as:

The website could be improved by, Not so many items on the screen at once peoples computers aren’t as fast as most computers and can’t load as fast.  The text should be smaller and bolder because people can’t see it from a side view or from far away.  They should have  Fewer advertisements because the advertisement is covering the screen and not a lot of the products are seen. 

(D1) Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the website  

 Strengths of a website, If they don’t have a store or anywhere to sell there items they  use a online website to Sell it Weaknesses of websites, You have to pay for a website and pay to keep it up, and they also have to pay for the games from the other companies just to sell for the website. The build of the Website is very filled up. It looks a bit stuck together and very crowded. It could be Evened out a bit being all crowded together.

Uses / Purpose of the website?   To sell computer/gaming items to the world. The website many also allow you to browse there products, for your help to allow you too keep your details so you don’t need to re‐type your personal details each time. 

Target Audience   The age range is 14‐60.

  It lets you search for items to use for your computer and laptop that you made need if, for example you need a new keyboard, mouse or any other item that may be used for helping yourself with work and other needs

The website could be improved because The website could be more users friendly because it’s not really that user friendly. It also takes long for the website to load. There could a lot more things implemented onto the website like more action buttons and maybe

even a forum for the website and the availability to be able to leave a review. 

(D1) Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the website 

 The strengths are the website is very large and has many different links to see the websites products.  The Weaknesses is it’s not very “User friendly.” And the people accessing it might have problems.
