CHICAGO -- It wasn't just cold Thursday. It was record-breaking cold.

The National Weather Service said two records were set Thursday, making it the coldest Feb. 19ever recorded.

The -8 degrees recorded at O'Hare Airport Thursday morning broke a 79-year record for lowest

temperatur on Feb. 19. The previous record was -7 degrees, set in 1936.

Thursday's high of 4 degrees was the coldest high temperature ever recorded on Feb. 19, breakingthe previous record of 9 degrees, also set in 1936, the National Weather Service said.

The cold snap isn't over, either.

Chicago is under a wind chill warning from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday, the National Weather Servicesaid. Wind chills could range from 20 below zero to 30 below .

Snow is likely Friday, with a high of 17 degrees.
